Obviously Afridi offers more allround option overall but Nazir has more sensible batting head. What do you think?

The strategical way of batting is found more in Nazir compared to Afridi! But thats the way people love Afridi.. thats why he has been rightly called, " Boom Boom ". He just comes, explodes and returns.

I never remember any Afridi's tactical/strategical knock as per the team situation till now. Natural very aggressive players have to be like this... They can't be controlled. If they try to control their nature of playing, 90% of the times, they tend to fail. Sehwag.. Sanath Jayasuriya.. Afridi.. all these if they keep on exploding, opponents had to press their panic button!

Nazir in the long run as he can bat like a proper batsman and slog. Meaning he can play test matches, unlike Afridi who has a one track mind.

Sehwag, Jaysuriya also have a lot of cricketing shots in their innings, Afridi's is just any shot which gets him a six. Whereas the two mentioned befor they can pace their innings, play average shots aswell as explode.

Nazir for me, Afridi can probably hit them slight further but Nazir plays more accordingly to the taem situation imo...

To me, Nazir is a batsman, Afridi is a bowler, so it's an obvious choice.

Afridi is mainly in the team because of his bowling (he himself admitted many a times), can't remember when he scored even the quick 20s-30s. All he does is come to crease knock few deliveries and lobs the ball high in air and departs.

Imran nazir looked promising in his early days, then dropped I guess and has been picked again (not following any cricket on TV these days, only drawing conclusions from forums like pc and cricinfo) so I guess must go with the members here posting and being a specialist batsman helps in that regard too. Lastly think, he is overall a good fielder if not spectacular though he used to be.

EDIT: Isn't Imran Nazir sure he is, playing for Lahore Badhshahs in ICL and has finished the match in style scoring 111 off 44 balls hitting 11 sixes and 7 fours.

LOL!

Haven't seen much of Nazir but Afridi I rate as more of a bowling all rounder, his batting lacks consistency but does play some spectacular knocks!

^ Thats harsh, Afridi is very useful sometimes down the order at the end of innings, He also provides a spinning option to Pakistan.

Afridi is nothing. Since this is Batting only I would definatly go with Imran Nazir. Not just of what he did today, but all round.

Why don't counties call up Nazir for the Twenty20 Season in England?

Because of his ICL ties, he either won't be looked at, and counties won't get a shot at the Champions League.

BCCI wins again.

They're both hacks. Nazir is probably more talented.

neither hate them both!

hate Afridi because, he doenst bat like how he used to "concentration on my bowling more"

hate Nazim from yesterday for blowing away Kapali's record in ICL and blowing Kapali's chance of being the MOT/MOS.

Nazir is definitely more talented and intelligent batsman than Afridi. Afridi's inconsistent slog-style batting has cost Pakistan lots of matches.
