You can use wget with PowerShell (and indeed the Console on OS X or Linux) and download the browser of your choice from the command line.

And seriously - anyone still making "IE sucks" posts hasn't used it in a decade. It's a perfectly good browser - and in many aspects, better than the alternatives.

That said, PlanetCricket's stats on this aren't exactly a close race:

The problem with IE is that many work computers only allow IE, and it's an old version, not one of the newer ones which are perfectly respectable. I have to use IE because some of my work applications (such as timesheets, etc.) only work in IE

firefox is terrible in every regard. if you're using windows, chrome is the best. OSX, safari.
