Is it possible to get dropped from international duty if you put in too many poor performances, and then go back to domestic cricket to earn a recall?

i wouldn't say totally dropped but when you put in a lot of poor performance in tests you will likely miss a series only the tests and you will play soem FC matches but regardless of performances you will get recalled in the next series, especially considering the fact pujara came in for me and scored 500 in that series. Must be hard on him, but being captain i get the perks

Have had it happen only once so im not sure if that whole thing was due to my performance or some career scheduling thing but was nice to see it happen and me playing haryana while my team payed SA.
