Ah, good point! I definitely spent a lot more time bowling than batting last time round - I think I figured out at some point that by averaging my career player statistics, I was spending, on average, 6-7 times longer bowling than batting per match, haha! I was nominally a bowling all-rounder though, so I did start out more as a bowler and gradually found my way into batting more and more in the last couple of seasons I played. By the end of it, I was hitting double and triple hundreds regularly, haha! Will probably play as an all-round all-rounder this time, now that option is there. I like being involved in both sides of the game really. Last time I made just under 20,000 career runs and took about 1,100 career wickets so that'll be more long term target to beat once I can start playing in January.
Quick question about the new game, given that you do start out in T20s only. What does that mean for your chances of breaking through into the First Class, or even 50 over, side. If you're only able to prove yourself in the shorter format, how does the game figure out if you're good enough to make it in the longer matches?
