What this Patch Contains?

This Patch Contains:

Tweaked Configuration Files for CPU(defines Seam movement, Swing, Spin, Speed, CPU Pacing the Innings)

Edited Stroke files for both Test and ODI Seperately (Different Styles for both ODI and Tests)

Edited Field Settings for both Test and ODI (Different Field Settings)

What it will do?

* Now the CPU will be More Like HUMAN Player and can compete one on one with you. The Pace of the Fast bowler is Now from 150 to 162 Km/h (Brett,Akhtar,Bond), Fast Medium is between 135 to 145 Km/h. The Spinners will bowl around 80+km/h, occasionally surprise u with a 100Km/h one. The Swing Bowlers speed varies from 120 to 135 Km/h. (But unfortunately this pace will not come into play when u guys Bowl, but u can get the spin, movement, bounce, swing that CPU gets, Thanks God!)

** The Seam Movement, The bounce of the Pitch, Spin, Swing, Variation in Pace now come into play. It is more close to the real cricket. Now u can't always slog at the depth(at any time)as the bowler varies everything. Now use u'r brains for correct shots or caught up naughty!. Outfield speeds also realistic. The CPU batsman also much more smooth when come to shot selection. You have to really bowl well to drive their NUT!,. Every parameter related to the pitch is varied for both ODI as well as Tests. Coz u can't expect plain vannila Test Pitch anymore!. It smack right on u'r pace in Hard pitches and die down on u on damp pitches. It also swing either way(Banana Swing). Spinner's Heaven brake lose in Dusty pitch. It turn a mile spin!. Here is the comparison chart:

*** Few Shots(ugly one) have been edited for purpose likewise of backfoot on drive, Pull-> backfoot leg glance, Sq drive - > Sq Cut, Sweep -> reverse sweep, latecut -> conventional sweep. Cpu now pick the length beautifully which one to hit on the back or front. Different power level for shots in both form of the game as modern ODI's went hara-giri and Test, hmmm., Hard to hit runs. Timing of the shots been improved. If u timed it well enough, it reach the boundry even before fielder's muscle move or get out caught in awaiting fielders hand. The slip, gully catches are more visible in Tests.

**** The field settings been edited to modern trend as well as the ability of CPU. As the ball even go anywhere there is players to stop that in all directions like third man, deep fine leg. Accurate field positioning is the name of the game!(thanks to Stephen Flemingo). Different sets of field positionings for different versions of the Game!

***** In 10, 20, 50 Overs game CPU will match with u either it bat first or second. It'll go for the win!. U have to really put u'r brain to stop the monkey!. CPU won't go for mad in depth or in pressure situation, it cope up with that!.They last all their limited quota of overs. In test match hopefully the game will last upto 5th day!. (The think is u don't get this result if u AUTOPLAY, it still score over 6-7 runs and the whole match ends with in 6-8 sessions.)

INSTALLATION:

Just Extract the Cricket2002_CoolGamePlayPatch.zip into your Cricket'2002 directory and overwrite everything it prompts!. Cricket 2002 directory usually be found at :\EA SPORTS\CRICKET2002\.

U have to manually modify few things to install. Unzip the "configs" folder to the Main directory :\EA SPORTS\CRICKET2002\. Unzip data folder into :\EA SPORTS\CRICKET2002\data\ which overwrites "Editor" folder(field Setting), and two new folders created "ODIMATCH_batsman", "TESTMATCH_batsman" inside :\EA SPORTS\CRICKET2002\data\captures\.

Important Notes:

Say if u like to play TEST SERIES or TEST MATCH just rename "TESTMATCH_batsman" into "shots" and copy it into :\EA SPORTS\CRICKET2002\data\captures\batsman\ and overwrite existing files.

If u like to play ODI match, World Series, Knockout tournament, WORLD CUP, Shajah Series, just rename "ODIMATCH_batsman" into "shots" and copy it to :\EA SPORTS\CRICKET2002\data\captures\batsman\ and overwrite existing files!.

This process is usually easy if u done it one and again!, but in starting this process a bit tough though!. Particulary for a new bie!. You've to change the shots folder once u decides to play Test or ODI. If u actually play with TEST shots, but a one-day game u stuck at the Crease and runs hard to come by, and Vice Versa.

More importantly the game should be play in "NORMAL" mode by changing u'r options in game main menu\options\Game. Otherwise u don't see any thing like i listed above!. U won't get any movement, spin, swing, bounce, the pace of game set by CPU batsman. Do it First!, Change it to "NORMAL" MODE.

Wise Guy Think: (Disclaimer)

Backing up u'r old files/folders in another location of u'r PC is a must before u copy this files. Just copy the old folders "configs" exists in main directory and "Editor" in Data Directory and "batsman" in data\captures\ directory into some other place say like "My documents" folder incase if u don't like the CoolGamePlayPAtch(will U?), and if u done some wrong thingy and ending in messing up with u'r game. It'll be pretty useful!. It's always a wise Guy's Think!.

You know one thing, i'll not take any responsibility if this patch ruins u'r GAME, PC or even u'r SLEEP :-}, I'll not mind anything at all!. I only welcome the opinions to improve this patch or any mistakes it may have. Consider this as a BETA patch and i welcome all of u to make it even BiG Patch.

You just grab this file in u'r hand as a "FREEFREEWARE" and u may distribute it freely and don't change the integrity of the patch and don't modify it in anyway to ruin my hard work!. Just distribute as it is in any website(NO Porn Site), community, E-mail and u should not claim any bugs for that!. I expect u got the Point!.
