Rameez Raja.. A real embarrassment for all in the commentary box!

Stick me with Precambrian here. Most of the IPL commentary is awful. Rameez is barely passable, Ranjit Fernando awful, Shiva lacks insight and just throws out cricketing cliches and Arun Lal can't stop talking about fricken "pressure".

I don't think I've learned ANYTHING from listening to these guys, and I've probably become a whole lot stupider...

I find it laughable that these same guys are in love with that ESPNStar sports dude who has never played cricket in his life. Apparently rated the best commentator on the planet (Cricinfo)

Yeah, you know who I'm talking about. Biggest disgrace to commentary ever.

And Ramiz is our best commentator.... Waqar Younis comes up with so many gems (due to "not so good english")

i havnt seen much IPL but ramiz dont know ████ about commentating. Maybe he has a bit knowlegde about batting but most of the times what he says is just common sense, while commentator like nasser hussain will come up with stuff like someone at home watching couldnt figure out or didnt know.

I thanked the gods when he was not there in the commentary panel when the IPL began. However he ensured that we'd all be subject to his isms midway after the Aus-Pak series in Dubai. What a loser. Neither funny, nor insightful, waste of space.

So is that Laxman Sivaramakrishnan. But this guy beats him fair and square in direness.

Mitigate means like, to slow down, or to make less strong - less severe. Not sure which game you were talking about, but I think he was trying to be ironic / sarcastic lol

And besides, I'm sure he thought there was some sort of sponsor involved. Stupid Lalit Modi, oh I wish he steps in the US. Arrested for drug trafficking, and we're done with him - never see him again

atleast when waqar younis is talking about bowling he will come up with stuff most bowling coaches dun even know about, he do have a bit prob with english, as far as i think waqar is the best commentator after wasim akram pakistan have

Why are the Pakistanis getting so defensive as if Precambrian's singling out Rameez Raja because he's Pakistani? That's hardly the case. Rameez just plain sucks. So does Shiva, so does Waqar, so does Athar Ali Khan. Ravi Shastri also really bugs me because he always says the fielding team needs early wickets or the fielding team needs to get a quick breakthrough. Is there any point in the match when you are not trying to take a wicket? Seriously...

And regarding Bhogle, zMario, where is it written that you'll have to play cricket if you want to be a commentator? : Bhogle is not the best commentator India has ever produced, but he is certainly better than that freaking Raja, that awful Shiva, and Waqar.

We never said Modi is a saint, did we? But you have to admit that he has a clever brain and some fantastic managing skills. Running the IPL really needs guts.

i really liked danny morrison's commentary.

not really mate.when rameez is in form,he can be very witty and funny.
he's just lost his form like mccullum did until last week and hopefully he'll hit back some form soon.
and speaking of poor commentary,what the holy you know what mandira bedi is doing? well,she's not exactly a commentator but kind of.
she is messing things up big time.she not even beautiful.kick her out first!:

rameez also said "that can only hurt a man" when ganguly got a low blow from ojha.
that was not a wise thing to do when IPL was supposed to be a family program.

Ramij raja is not a bad commentator . at least he is better than many like Ranjit fernando , arun lal & holding.
