Life without the internet?

Main reason I like FB is that it is easy to organise large groups of people for going out at the weekends or a party. Yeah, it's handy for keeping in touch with people as well, but I never really update my status unless something actually has happened. What really bugs me are these updates:

"(Insert name 1)"
"(Insert name 2)" Oh what's wrong hun?
"(Insert name 1)" Nothing, I'll tell you when I see you

Why the hell post about it if you don't want to talk about it, stupid attention seeking people.

I had to go without internet for over a month when I moved flats and it didn't really bother me. I checked my email and FB at the library 2/3 times a week, but apart from that I wasn't too fussed.

My computer is nearly useless without the internet except a few games.
Internet is important to us in many ways and is very useful.
It all comes down to will power and self control at the end of the day.

As far as FB is concerned, it's sure overrated and I gets annoyed seeing some people's utterly stupid comments there.

In short - text speak. It becomes difficult to understand what they really meant to say. Why the f*ck you want to say fyn when you can just add another word and make it proper 'fine'. How much time is saved if you type 3 words instead of 4

I don't bother with FB. Such a waste of time IMO. My cousin is constantly on it whether it be on her computer or phone. It's pretty sad.

But the internet is certainly useful. I couldn't imagine doing half projects without it when I was in high school. Yes, there are drawbacks but it's really up to the individual to decide how much time he spends on it and what chooses to view. Moderation is really the key.

I actually enjoy being away from the internet at times, like when I'm on holiday. It's almost refreshing for me. I'll still check my emails from my phone and do a bit of browsing but you don't get much time for that since you've always got something else to do.

This. Internet is not only for chatting but it does help you a lot with your studies. There are so many sites where you can ask questions regarding studies. For fun, internet is perfect! Internet games, videos on sites like youtube and lots more. Internet is a must if you have a computer.

Most PC games nowadays require that you have an internet connection when you play whether it be for online play or game authentication.

Also, many consumer products you buy come with a very basic instruction manual, which is really designed to get whatever you've bought up and running. If you want something more detailed, they direct you their website and tell you download the PDF.

As far as I'm concerned, I use facebook & planetcricket endlessly. I'm going to ask my brother to change the passwords of everything of mine on net (in the first week of may), so that I'll study a bit .
On a serious note, I enjoy lot more on fb than what I do when I meet my friends due to appli's blah blah.

When it comes to pronography, I guess they should do it practically with someone and overcome their lust to avoid watching that.

well for starters, its really bad for your computer. some of the worst viruses floating around the internet will be found on porn sites. masturbating to porn also can have some negative psychological effects. people get used to porn and being able to get off to it whenever they want and it makes them think that thats how it is in real life relationships.
