Should ODIs be scrapped?

So you mean to say a team that managed 241/4 in just 32 overs wouldn't have seen off 302 in 50 overs?

England were 27-2 needing 281 to win the 3rd ODI (which's greater than the required target here), before the match ended in a tie...
So if anything, this should have been England's game...

Well why not? England team obviously proved it. Compared to 27-2 (281), 129-0 is better(272) especially in India where wickets are flat. And still they found a way to lose.

Wow! When the subject here was about the series played in England, your ingenious mind brings about the series that was played in the slow, SC wickets to the discussion. Keep it up! 3-0.

Sorry, 4-0.

On the fun side of things, I liked this:

So wicket becomes slow when Eng lose and flat when India wins. Eden wicket was a lot better compared to the IPL wicket. Also due to some magic spell the wicket turned better for T20 played on the same wicket. Not to forget Swan sucked on these "slow" tracks.

More interesting comments from Swann in the paper today that he'd favour scrapping leg byes in cricket.

....

Or at least the DRS system back since he gets a lot of wickets from pad before bat that umpires are understandably reluctant to give.

Even technology did not help Swann in the Ind-Eng test series or the World cup. If anything it showed what an average bowler he was against India and in the sub continent :lol But yeah it did help some of your bowlers find imaginary nicks of Rahul :D

The hawkeye part of DRS was, if you remember, not available for some reason...

Considering in England he outbowled every Indian bowler except Kumar, which despite having to play a containing role in a series that rarely needed him due to India's batsman's inabilty to play anything faster than 80mph, I believe he still bowled England to victory with a 6-fer when he was required?

As far as I remember hawkeye would have saved Indian wickets as opposed to give swann wickets.

So the worlds best spinner is being compared to the great praven kumar? And the only thing that the wrolds best spinner could worthwhile this year is a 6 wicket haul against an already defeated and weakened Indian squad. That proves again. He is overrated.

He is the worlds best spinner possibly along with Ajmal at this stage, how you can refute that is beyond me. All the best bowlers have bad games/series, but hes done enough to be the BEST spinner in the World right now. If you say hes overrated, that means you believe theres a better spinner in the world right now, if so who do you think it is?

Just a couple of names off the top of my head - Lyon, Hauritz, Krejza, Doherty, Clarke, Katich, S. Smith, White, Warner.
