Vitality Blast

That's pretty good for Dernbach. Anything below 20 is an achievement.

Good to see Kieswetter in the runs already . Slow knock but very much needed and probably should be in the England squad in limited overs (top scorer last year as well). Nannes looks a very canny signing. His punditry shows a good cricket brain and has the skills to match.
I don't think we'll see Kieswetter trying to score insanely quickly in T20s though. He tends to try to anchor the innings, so Tres and Trego can really put the hammer down around him. It's the kind of innings he's got very good at though, judging the pitch and what a good score will be.

My only worry about Nannes was his age. I.e whether he still bowls that quick or that well. On paper he looks a very good signing, especially as he'll be around all season. Be interesting to see how he goes on TV tomorrow.
Also...Does anyone know what the prize is for hitting that massive inflatable pig? :lol
I keep on switching on half way through matches so don't know the answer to this either!

And I can imagine Middlesex are shelving the idea of two matches in one day after losing both today. :D

Get down to the ground and support your local team! :p

Our first match is against your lot at your ground, I doubt we'll win. Somerset are normally hard to beat at home.

Bit hard to do when it's sold out. :p

And it's technically not my local team, just my closest, hence the support. :D

Ugh, Michael Vaughan now on Sky's coverage? Why Sky, why? :(

I don't think there is a worse feeling than losing a game whilst Michael Vaughan shouts his awful commentary at the same time.

This fawning of Dernbach from the Sky crew is a bit much. He's bowling at a number 8 and a one legged number 7, yet Sky are making it sound like he's just restricted Chris Gayle to 2 runs off the last 6 balls. :rolleyes

Tbh in his current form that isn't an achievement against Gayle..

Another batch of matches today, Anyone off to any of them?

Kent have their first match today away @ Somerset, will be interesting to see how we get on in this years competition because in previous seasons we have been abysmal in T20.
