Well that was a master batting display from Shadab and Hasan. Pakistan have got themselves some chance.

I think main problem is obviously the top order, but you can't much do about that in the series. It's need to be done in the Academy back here in home. But at least what Pakistan can do is to play Sarfraz at the middle 4/5 or even as an opener. He has shown the potential in ODIs (but not at no.6)

Even if Pakistan could get Munro and Guptill out early. New Zealand will still be in the driving seat. As they'll have Williamson, Taylor, Latham. And the target is not big enough. Need to repeat CT17 final bowling.

Main problem is the contribution & consistency of middle order in overseas tour.Babar Azam need to play with responsibility,unless it will very difficult for PAK.

Yup, Sarfaraz should open. Didnt he open in CWC15 and scored a century against Ire and a 49 against SA in a low scorer.

It's like a child's play for NZ at the moment. No match for both teams at all. Shadab and Hasan embarrassed the so-called specialist batsmen. When you are having 100 runs short on a wicket and in the fast ODI format, what you expect from the bowlers. Aamir and Hasan are surely no Wasim and Akhtar... Pakistan needs support from batting. Sarfraz is ruining himself, Apparently taking so much pressure of captaincy that he is coming in lower order and can't even score some 20 or 30. He needs to be brave and get the fear out and perform as captain.

In the bowling department, Pakistan is certainly missing Junaid Khan (Unfit) here (Someone Sarfraz is not putting much trust surprisingly). Aamir is only bowling well in big matches. Hasan Ali should concentrate more on his skills rather than the famous winning generator style, Its good but you need to perform first and win matches for the team to be worthy of that dance, Just like what you did in CT. We need that kind of performance from him to give us important breakthroughs.

Azhar Ali and Hafeez in the ODI side is like Rohit Sharma and Dhawan on the test side - just pointless.

T20 Squad announced for Pakistan, Happy that Imam and Azhar aren't part of the plan. Umar Amin was impressive the last time he played, Shehzad has been given another T20 opportunity and its good sign. I have reservations over Aamer Yamin though in ODI as well as in any other format.

Sarfraz is looking puzzled in the Toss Interview. Once again poor selection, Banking on Azhar, Hafeez and Shoaib, No Haris Sohail here... It seems a 3-0 scene today. If the bowlers bowl out of their skin this time and book NZ early then we might have some chance

Hopefully he'll get some form going (To take few wickets in the middle 20 - 40 overs) in the 4th ODI after this nice finish.

It's not a good pitch to bat on.257 is an above par score in this ground.Pakistan's middle order have to play with concentration,unless old stroy will repeat again.My prediction 70-30.

13/4, I do not see them playing out even 30-40 overs. No offense meant. Pakistan are in a right direction much better than India are going. Should not get de-moralized.
