Pakistan vs Zimbabwe ODI Series Discussion

With Zimbabwe being eliminated from the tri-series following their 2nd defeat to Pakistan in the tri-series, and were overall winless, they have another assignment at home, but a different format, and against tourists who visit often, Pakistan. Zimbabwe's last few ODIs were part of the World Cup Qualifier, and their last one being the infamous defeat to UAE, which, again, came with controversy, as there was no DRS available.

Speaking of them, Pakistan are to play Australia in the Tri-Series final, having only losing 1 match against their 1st match against Australia in the tri-series. But, their track results in ODI haven't been the best, having been whitewashed against New Zealand at their home, but the series before, they whitewashed Sri Lanka, at their adapted "home", UAE. This is an away series, even though its against Zimbabwe, we can still sort of see they are still a bit stiff playing away, so this could be somewhat of an advantage for Zimbabwe.

Here are the Squads:

Pakistan Squad: Sarfraz Ahmed (c, wk), Asif Ali, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Amir, Faheem Ashraf, Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Junaid Khan, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Nawaz, Yasir Shah, Haris Sohail, Fakhar Zaman.

Zimbabwe Squad: Brian Chari, Tendai Chatara, Chamu Chibhabha, Elton Chigumbura, Tendai Chisoro, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Hamilton Masakadza (c), Wellington Masakadza, Peter Moor, (wk) Ryan Murray, Tarisai Musakanda, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Liam Roche, Donald Tiripano, Malcolm Waller

What do you guys think? How will the series turn-out?

I think 50/50 different format than t20's but still I expect Pakistan to win by 4/0 with one match wash out.Bulawayo popular for batting paradise so we can see some new records
This series really improves Pakistan's ranking in ODI format

My entire attention to Asif Ali and Shadab

Good match, Zimbabwe pulled it back in the last 10 overs, looked like a 350+ score, but, our bowlers were too good for them.

Time to rest the likes of Aamir and Shoaib Malik. Perfect opportunity to give everyone a game.

Both these games so far have been easy for Pakistan.
Absolutely. At least play Yasir Shah and Junaid khan.

Yes, I agree, they brought him in the Final 15, and we haven't seen him play some International cricket in quite a while, and would love to see him play, don't see the point of bringing them in if you won't even give them a game? This series is most probably done and dusted, but, I don't think we can be overconfident yet. My theory is that once Pakistan win the 3rd ODI (most likely), they will rest them both and let them both play.

Fully agree. Maybe his cricket requires rest or a little domestic performance. he has been so of colour lately. Being a bit of a Wahab Riaz and pushing selection based on one decent performance.

We have so many seamers (especially left-armers) ready to break in.

I feel for Junaid Khan. Being only able to play only ODIs and after that management selects M Amir over him against Zimbabwe (M Amir himself asked for rest).
