I wonder why this lovely sites not have A teams activities.just few days ago India A saved un-official test vs WI A after WI were 250 runs ahead in England.

India A also has to play test (un official) vs EngL, probably strongest team I ever seen in this Level.Test opener Cook, Malan,woakes,Gubbins,S.Curran etc.will be part of England Lion from July 16-19.

Chahal named in India A squad for four-day games against South Africa 'A'

Chahal is part of a 16-member India A squad that will take on South Africa A in two four-day games

Yuzvendra Chahal is part of a 16-member India A squad, to be captained by Shreyas Iyer, for the two four-day games against South Africa A, the All-India Senior Selection Committee announced on Monday (July 23).



Barring Karun Nair and Rishabh Pant, who have been named in the India squad for the Test series against England, the squad for the South Africa 'A' four-day games bears a similar look to the one that was picked for the recent A' tour to England, with as many as 13 players holding on to their spots.



The additions are skipper Iyer, Chahal, and Axar Patel. Axar, however, has been named only for the first game while Shahbaz Nadeem will take his place for the second match. Meanwhile, Vijay Shankar, the all rounder, has been excluded from the set-up.



Iyer will also lead the India A team for the quadrangular series involving South Africa A and Australia A. The fourth team, which is India B, will be captained by Manish Pandey. Shivam Mavi and Shubman Gill, stars of the Under-19 World Cup winning side, are part of the squads for the quadrangular series. Mayank Markande, the legspinner, who impressed during his stint with Mumbai Indians in the IPL, has also been named. Sanju Samson, who was earlier dropped from the A squad for the England tour after failing the yo-yo test, has been picked again after clearing the test recently.



The first four-day game against South Africa A will be played from August 4 in Belgaum while the second game, which starts on August 10, will be held in Bengaluru. The quadrangular series begins on August 17 and ends on August 29, with all matches to be played in Vijaywada.
