Pakistan's tour of England - August/September - 3 Tests/3 T20Is

The cricket in Germany has improved so much in the past few years, after the influx of Afghan refugees, for both the men's and women's teams. The ICC making all international fixtures T20Is was great too.
So the future's Fawad Alam can go to Germany and play for them? Interesting:spy

But on a serious note, I have seen a couple of documentaries regarding Cricket in Germany and it appears to be pretty life-changing for the Afghan refugees, who have no proper pastime or link back home. Cricket allows them to be culturally connected to their home country. T20 will definitely start flourishing there a decade or so later, but the real question is will Test Cricket ever be marketable to an audience which is used to 90-minute football games?

Fawad isn't going to get many runs in England with that technique. Not in typical English conditions.

As opposed to the general public opinion I believe even with that technique Fawad Alam can score runs irrespective whether it would swing or not. For a Cricketer, especially a batsman should always follow a method that he is comfortable with. If he is comfortable with his technique no matter what he will find his way to score runs. A player like Steve Smith has made it a habit of scoring big every time he bats even with the sort of stance he has. Chanderpaul is the biggest example one can think of if we talk about unorthodox techniques. That guy has loads of runs in County Cricket.

A player like Joe Denly has a technique which perfectly suits the the longer formats but yet he isn't able to score because he is a bit tentative/ unsure about his footwork.

Apparently the German captain is a cardiovascular research scientist, and she took 4 wickets in 4 balls in this match...
Wow! Gotta take some multitasking lessons from her.

Hopefully, she wouldn't send me some notes, 'cause I can read everything in the world but doctors' handwriting :lol
