Will Codemasters Ever Make A Cricket Game Again?

I think they will, but I don't expect it to be much better than BLIC 2007. I think EA will eventually crack it, at least their games feel like cricket and haven't got those stupid camera angle changes and broken catching system. Even if they don't, all they have to do is get reasonably close, then planetcricket can do the rest, EA don't hardcore their code. Are you listening, Codemasters?

As long as they think they can make money they will make a cricket game, though I will say there won't be another BLIC.

True, that would be a bit daft, considering he's retired! I think all versions will become 'Ricky Ponting Cricket', or maybe 'Kevin Pietersen' for English versions.
Who cares who's on the cover, it's what's inside that matters and EA beat Codies on that count (and the guy on the cover isn't too bad of a player, either!)

Yes they will make another game perhaps release it around next ASHES. It will be same crappy game, the quality will be much much lower then EA Cricket, however the promotion will be huge, wait till they start open-days !!

As long as theres money in it they'll keep churning them out, whether they'll be good or not is another story. They will definetly release another game though.

I think not for the first time you have summed up my thoughts perfectly. If they think they can make enough money to justify the outlay, another game will be made

I feel they will. No matter how much people diss cricket games, it seems we all line up at the store to buy the next one. EA has taken much criticism over their last 4 titles, but they still make enough sales with a game to justify making another one.

I've tried to play BLIC07 again on PS2, and to no avail I stopped at 3 overs after NZ being 3-20. So I chucked it in the corner and proceeded to my C07 disc

Of course another cricket game will be made, I think they will be planning to make it for Wii as well. Must be fun playing cricket on Wii .
