Can we get some new umpires?

We will....remember Darrel hair? We supported you...and expect the same here.....and yeah...we have to get on....the match can't be re-played.

How would be your reaction if I called Indian "cheats" (not saying they are).

I would not mind if the umpire was stupid enough to give it not out, Human error you see, difference between both things?

Nothing? We had a chance to beat Australia in Australia, heck, we did beat them, but the umpires decided otherwise! That puts us 2 down in the series, and not to mention our place in the ICC Test Table will suffer. That is nothing? Please leave the thread then if thats how you feel.

You will never ever face Australia in Australia again? The ICC table will never change after this?

Why would you call Indians cheats? What did we do here? the Aussies could like 15 decisions go their favour in the match. How can you even consider calling us cheats? And where did that come from? He said we supported Pakistan in their decision to walk off (Which most of us did), and you are going against us. Not that you have to side with us, but where did Cheats come from???

We will face them again, but if umpiring stays like this (Read the first article I linked), then no, we probably won't beat them again.

If some Umpire would have deliberetly given not out against India, I'd stand for you guys more then anything.

yeah....why the f**K isn't the ICC making way for challenging a appeal.....This is pathetic......I think there should even be a retirement age for umpires...that I***T buckner can't see anything...even a Blind person would have been a better umpire

 Yeah..I understand:rolleyes:

Hey why do some of these Pakistani/Indian people think that people are just trying to be nice? I mean, look at the way you just reacted to my comments? Isn't that Ignorant?

I believe there is some sort of test umpires have to go through to be able to stand in the big games, and it involves looking at their eyesight. I know this happens for football referees, and there is also a retirement age for them (45?).

Steve Bucknor has always been one of the best there is. He's just having a bad time. Maybe Aleem Dar and Billy Bowden should have been the umpires for this game.

Here are some incidents which I posted in other thread.

Bucknor vs India

? Steve Bucknor: Umpired in 17 India Tests, India has won four of them
1992-93: India vs South Africa, Johannesburg
With South Africa reeling at 73-5, Indians appeal for Jhonty Rhodes? run-out. Bucknor refuses to take Third Umpire?s help. Replays show Rhodes, who went on to play a match-saving innings, was clearly short of the crease.
Result: Match drawn

1998-99: India vs Pakistan, Kolkata
Shoaib Akhtar obstructs Sachin Tendulkar as he fails to make it to the crease. Bucknor turns a blind eye and refers the matter to the TV umpire. As the red light flashes and Tendulkar walks to the dressing room, Eden erupts.
Result: Pakistan won

2003-04: India vs Australia, Brisbane
Tendulkar is given out lbw when the ball hit on a knee roll and the line was just outside the off-stump. The bowler was Jason Gillespie and India slips after a good start
Result: Match Drawn

2003-04: India vs Australia, Sydney
India is on the verge of history of a series win on the final day. Bucknor refuses a number of close leg-before decisions against the Aussies. India falls short of time. Skipper Sourav Ganguly in his post-series report to ICC gives Bucknor very poor ratings with adverse comments.
Result: Match drawn

2003-04: India vs Pakistan, Lahore
India is already on the backfoot in the series for the first time after an awful batting display. Five opportunities missed while bowling, four of them adjudicated by Bucknor. This forces Indian coach John Wright to complain to match-referee Ranjan Madugalle during the day?s play.
Result: India loses

2007-08: India vs Australia, Sydney

* Ponting was clearly out on 17 but was given not out. He went on to score 55. Now, ponting dint walk. Benson was the umpire here and he just watched ponting. Since he dint walk, benson ruled it in favour of Ponting.

* Next, Symonds was caught behind when he was on 35 or so. Steve "THE BLIND&DEAF" Bucknor ruled it not out. That evening, Symonds shamelessly told in the press conference that he had nicked it.

* This time it was the third umpire,Oxenford. Inspite of TV replays showing clearly that Symonds was out of the crease and was clearly stumped,he gave it not out. Dont know what he was doing at that time.

* Symonds again. And Bucknor again. This time, he was stumped and his feet was on the air. But, bucknor dint even go for the 3rd umpire. So lame umpiring.

* Jaffer bowled of a no-ball. Mark benson this time, not sighting the foot. Excusable though.

* In 2nd inns, Hussey nicked the ball to Dhoni and stood his ground. Clearly out again. But, Benson said No.

* Rahul Dravid given out caught behind. This was one of the pathetic decisions. The ball neither had contacts with the pad or bat. I wonder why gilly appealed cos he very well knew that dravid hadn't nicked it. So, after all Gilly is a cheater too. Bucknor was the one who gave this out.

* Sourav ganguly given out caught at slips. Clarke dint appear to have taken the ball cleanly. So, Dada stood his ground. And, guess what, that is when I came to know that there was another umpire in the ground and his name was Ricky Ponting. Benson, instead of asking the 3rd umpire or atleast the square leg umpire, asked Ponting whther the catch was taken cleanly. Ponting said yes. And, benson gave that out.
Result: India Loses

Ashoka DeSilva was poor to say the least. But I thaugt Hair was banned cos he filed case against ICC.

The first five names are there on the ICC site.
The next ones-I have added them myself.

If De Silva was poor-well,he is 100% better than Bucknor.
I cant belive that the ICC let Buck stand in this Test even after the World Cup fiasco.

Why not Bucknor,Bowden and Benson ?

What's wrong with Billy Bowden? He wasn't part of that test.

Asad Rauf is absolutely hopeless. ave you seen him umpire? He needs the boot as well.
