Looking at that article, he's also suffering from back strain as well.

I think his fitness levels are the reason for his break from Cricket.

He is probably also upset following his performance at Perth.

The fact that he also bowled so very little says what confidence the captain had in him at Perth. That would of upset him as well since he bowled poorly, got out bowled by part-timers and wasn't considered as the strike bowler he should be.
