This sort of x-factor thing is for philosophical sides like Australia and West Indies, who are hellbent on playing beautiful attacking cricket no matter what the result is.
It is not in India's DNA to play like that. The fans worry about every single defeat that occurs and are more than happy...
Who says that there are bowlers who never have bad days?
Bhuvneshwar Kumar actually had a very good day today by his standards. He bowled very poorly in today's match, but by his own poor standards it was a fairly reasonable performance.
If Bumrah is merely world class, Bhuvi is not even class. Bumrah is miles better than Bhuvi. Bhuvneshwar is a very fast and physical bowler, but he is not skilled enough to merit comparison with Bumrah.
What do you make of Bumrah's economy rate of 4.44 then?
Bumrah's ODI average is also 20.
20, with an economy rate of 4.44. Miles better than Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is not world-class
I'm not sure what you're on about. Bumrah has by no means grabbed his opportunity. Umesh is still the more proven test player. He has played at least 50 tests, from memory. Bumrah only 9. Umesh is the better player than Bumrah. No one in their sane mind would argue that Bumrah should be chosen...
Bumrah has done okay so far in this series, but I am not entirely convinced he is test match material. He is known for his T20/ODI bowling and not for his test match bowling. Umesh Yadav has much more experience than a bowler like Bumrah, who has only played 9 tests.
Experience is a vital...
Is Jasprit Bumrah a scientist? The way he plays, lean and lacking muscle, but still looking so hostile....only scientific intellect can carry you this far without muscle and stamina. Bumrah is a player without physique who still manages to succeed.
As they say in Rome, magna est vis...
Do you think Bumrah deserves a place in the team? Looking at your XI, the team is strong but Bumrah is the weak point. He is a very weak Test bowler, he is a specialist T20/IPL bowler. The likes of Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are far more effective than Bumrah in test cricket.
I don't see any logical reason for dropping Bumrah instead of Shami. Rationally thinking, Bumrah is the team's best test bowler and the leader of the bowling attack. As such, if you intend to go horses for courses you drop the bowler offers you the least, instead of dropping the bowler who...
