Honestly, I woke up from my slumber mid arvo only to realise the game was on today. Chucked it on TV and was quite delighted at Bangladesh scoring 291 first up but the best part was to come when I saw who the top scorer in that batting scorecard was :lol
Yeah those reactionary takes are big in there, but that's the internet I feel(excluding PC forum). I remember making a dumb comment and coming back to massive upvotes to my surprise.
If only I had your wisdom, I engaged in a conversation there and was downvoted to hell for stating mere facts. It really makes you think about the demographic on there, I just chuckled at their inability to process logical thoughts.
I agree with your highlights comment fully. If I miss watching a game live I don't even bother tuning in for the highlights package. I frequent Cricinfo though and love reading the outrageous comments sent in by folks on there. It's good fun much better than the inane commentary on TV barring a few.
Lolwut?! How does any of this equate to that^. I love myself an underdog story, so IMO Afghanistan should be front runners to win since everything is stacked against them, literally.
True I thought my post was a bit off-topic, got carried away as I have been reading the cricket discussion thread a lot and was in that mindset when replying. But I have been reading and hearing a lot of folks (not particularly in here) just outside noise, thought I could vent myself in here...
LOL gotta love this millennial generation who has a memory timespan of a gold fish. Just because he isnt scoring 100s every other game, apparently Virat cant play outside off. Mind you his bread n butter shot is the cover drive, which he has mastered imo. Sad that the bowlers never get due...
I feel like he speaks out of his arse on most occasions other than when he's calling it in Australia. Always seems to get it wrong anywhere else but at home.
Pujara for sure. But I feel like the replacements arent gonna do any better. India is known to get complacent after a heroic performance. I can only hope for them to come back stronger and smash England in the 2nd innings as it is we're facing a depleted england team.
