This has been quite different as Pakistan have been more competitive than any other Asian touring side in the last half a decade. They won 2 and a half to 3 days of this test hands down, then a special knock from Ali changed things and Pakistan just didn't recover...on a flat pitch, so not much...

This is sad to watch. Pakistan dominated at least 2 and a half days of test cricket and got a lead of a 100...only to get battered around by an England who looked hapless in their first innings. Then they surrendered so meekly on the flattest pitch seen all summer.

This has been a see-saw test but I think England can take it from here. We're due a Pakistan batting collapse and the English lead is far too much. Quite remarkable to gain a lead of 300+ after going down by a 100.
