Icon Pakistan in England Test Ratings and Review

So yet another completed English test series, yet more discussion of what England needs to do with it's batting order and team constitution. Putting all that aside and saving it for the review, let's start with the individual player ratings for both England and Pakistan. England A. Cook -...

    England Team Discussion

Haseeb has been excellent thus far and I'm always frustrated with England and the ECB attitude of, "one more season". If the kid is ready, let him loose, sink or swim. The greats of the game often start early and this kid could be great. I've seen him bat twice live and he is so solid, so smart...

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

India essentially built their no. 1 ranking but winning home test series after home test series. Eventually they got to England and looked like a flacid excuse for a team. So it's unfair to use the same measuring stick and say Pakistan playing at home can't be a positive. And I use the term...

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

Pakistan have also drawn against NZ in the most recent test cycle if I remember correctly and just going off of the rules the ICC have put forward, it's remarkable India have maintained a number 2 spot. Australia going to no. 1 was odd at best. Like I said previously, over a span of 4-6 years...

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

Pakistan have shown consistency for 6 years. They had the longest unbeaten streak in tests from 2010-2012 and again now. They almost completed the double against England and have consistently had some of the highest rated bowlers and batsmen...well ok, Younis Khan. On top of all that, they...

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

Oh heavens, how many more catches off Amir will they drop? This has to be some kind of record for a test series.

Australia tour of Sri Lanka (July-September 2016)

Australia have looked woeful, the more I've seen of them in Asia. Their batsmen are not only inept against certain bowling, especially the likes of Ajmal but they lack the mental fortitude. They see shadows where there are none and seem to think they can simply dominate without showing any...

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

SL have done surprisingly well in those tours ,especially without Murali but Pakistan in this series have actually been part of a competitive, see-saw series. If it wasn't for the awfully biased punditry on Sky and just the horrible way they have presented this whole series (they did the same...

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

This has been quite different as Pakistan have been more competitive than any other Asian touring side in the last half a decade. They won 2 and a half to 3 days of this test hands down, then a special knock from Ali changed things and Pakistan just didn't recover...on a flat pitch, so not much...

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

This is sad to watch. Pakistan dominated at least 2 and a half days of test cricket and got a lead of a 100...only to get battered around by an England who looked hapless in their first innings. Then they surrendered so meekly on the flattest pitch seen all summer.

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

This has been a see-saw test but I think England can take it from here. We're due a Pakistan batting collapse and the English lead is far too much. Quite remarkable to gain a lead of 300+ after going down by a 100.

Australia tour of Sri Lanka (July-September 2016)

australia look like amateurs in asia. Are they missing the necessary mental strength to tour in such conditions?

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

Another great test so far and it looks like the pitch has flattened so much that England can score it well...then again the bowling has been ordinary. I don't understand why Yasir is bowling around 54mph. He should have started to slow it down already, give it a chance son!

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

Many an expert was saying Misbah, that most straight of straight men in a team which has often resembled a parody of a sports film, was wrong for choosing the ball over the bat. How wrong they were. If tomorrow Pakistan's batsmen do not score big, let it not be said it was the fault of the toss...

Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

That's the problem. Misbah is literally a mechanic working on an old rust bucket and somehow getting it to win races lol Btw, very good start from Pakistan. Risky decision but has paid off, if they can get Cook now, they have pretty much delivered a perfect one-two to England. Graeme Smith...
