I would like to declare here that I wish to pull out from the leagues that I am currently in. Life is really getting busier and I don't want to cause any inconvenience to any of the leagues. I'm unable to find any time for this. I hope you'll understand. :)
Really impressed with the way team performed. We started off horribly but then got steadied and gave some really good performances to come so far. Well done boys! :clap
Oh, letting Clarke open the batting proved useful. But rest others were too crummy. AB played a useful knock too.
Bowling was rubbish. Except Bresnan and Mahmood, everyone got wasted.
Oh, that was really poor of our bowlers. 300+ total was looking really match-winning. Gayle played an amazing innings. Raina did good and Shakib's rapid-fire 71 took us a great total. But then their batsmen were all over us. :(
But still happy with the performance!
Oh, wow! We're into Qualifier 2. :thumbs
Bowlers nicely set up the game for us initially. Our plan was executed with perfection. 243 was never going to be a tough target to chase. Openers got off to a great start and laid a strong platform for others to capitalize on. However, middle order was...
Oh, bowlers really had a gorgeous day. Anderson and Malinga were the best. Pleased to see our first substantial opening partnership. That huge partnership did the majority of work for us.
What a magnificent bowling display that was! Every bowler was among wickets and we kept the wickets coming regularly. 213 was never gonna be hard. Thought we lost 2 quick wickets, middle order recovered well. Bell, Raina and Jadeja made significant contributions. :)
Wanted just more score in the first innings to defend. Great to see Clarke while among the runs. AB extended full support to him. We wanted some more from the others to reach upto 280/290.
Bowling wasn't very impressive. Anderson proved to be the only terror for them. :(
Bowlers did a fine job to keep them to 232 which was a good score to chase. But, batsmen absolutely made a mess of it. AB continues to score runs while Clarke fails yet again. Sad to see such a world-class batsmen struggling a lot. Zander de Bruyn played a key role down there making brisk 36...
We certainly needed to more wickets than that to keep them to less than 200. Anything above 220 was difficult to chase on that pitch. Needed something special from our bowlers. Batting was absolutely shabby.
