Really? The only time I think fell away was just before tea on the 4th day, and that was because he was trying to bowl the inswinging yorkers and they went wrong, but I guess he was allowed to have that lapse and be a bit tired after leading the Aussie attack on debut at 18.
Yeah I felt the same. You have to take into account that even Siddle was swinging the ball today so the movement they were getting wasn't surprising, the lack of control was disappointing from the debutants. Can't wait till Cummins returns for the 2nd Test to see some proper Test match bowling...
To be honest he couldn't extract movement after the initial spells. He was more of an entertainer and a genuine speedster, which is why he did so much better at the shorter forms. Whereas I see more to Cummins. He was getting movement both ways the whole innings and seems to be a thinking bowler...

Yeah as long as you keep make the tennis ball bounce its very hard to play drives along the ground. Hitting it straight back to the bowler happens a lot. But i never really had trouble with fast bowling, infact i much more...
A cricket ball is way faster (due to the air drag overcoming tennis ball inertia so easily and it holding up when it bounces) and not to mention harder.
