The Sydney McStallions captain tassietiger has once again had to come out and play down flooding praise for his unstoppable force of a team, as there have been many talks circulating about the possibility of them being the first team to go through a season of PCPL with only one loss to their name.
"I know it seems likely that we'll get through the season with just one loss, but all we are interested in is to become season premiers, and we're just taking it a game at a time until then. The records should sort themselves out at the end of it all."
Normally betting odds tend to blow out after early season losses to teams, but the recent result is unique in the fact that it has strengthened Sydney's chances in the bookmakers' eyes.
Very widely acclaimed bookmaker John said: "We looked at this league in a slightly different way to most. We figured all champion teams need to have a slump at some point in their season, and for a team as barnstorming as the Sydney McStallions, they would have less slumps and they would be really, really short slumps. (e.g. for 2 overs and then click into gear again) Now they have lost a game, we can't actually see them having another slump until 2016 at the earliest"
Tassietiger commented on John's comments: "John is spot on. It's no wonder those bookmakers are filthy rich."
