This is a edited version of f0bstyle's instructions.

Installation Instructions:

There are two ways to import the kits & other patches into your game.
The easier way is to extract the zip file into your game directory.
For example:
X:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\EA SPORTS Cricket 2005.
and not into X:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\EA SPORTS Cricket 2005\data.
and not C:\My Documents\EA Sports\EA SPORTS Cricket 2005

The other way is to open the data_pc.gob file in the data folder with biggui and import the files into the gob. THE FILES MUST BE COMPRESSED, SO USE THE COMPRESS BUTTON ON BIGGUI. I have not imported the kits like this, so I do not know if the game will crash or not. If you do this method, back up your cricket_pc.gob file.

For installing pitch-ads & other files in bmp format:

You can find the list of pitch files here
Extract them using BigGUI or EAGraph into your Cricket 2005 root directory.

Open the extracted fsh file in FshEd.
For importing pitch-ad click on ptad.See pic:

fshed14ra.jpg

Now Click Object->Import or Ctrl+I
This window shows up:

fshed29dp.jpg

Click on New & select the bmp file to import.
After selecting click update:

fshed31ee.jpg

Now Click File->Save to save the file.Give the name of the fsh eg: 0ce83d1bd97d73f5eed69ec9529a53f5.fsh & save it to your Cricket 2005 folder.

Instead of directly extracting, have it in a place and from there, copy and paste it into root. i.e for eg, C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\EA SPORTS Cricket 2005.

It should work. :)
