Unable to play DBC 14 with ps3 controller.

I recently downloaded Don Bradman Cricket 14.Realising that i was not able to play DBC14 with keyboard I resorted to videos on trying to use my keyboard.It ended in success and for about 2 weeks i played with keyboard until i found my ps3 controller and its charging cable.they both work perfectly but i am unable to play,even though it is working. I am using Fireshock to connect to the pc and through x360ce it is working.
Although it is working,it does not seem to impact dbc 14 as it is not working ingame but is connected and working.
Please help.
