Football lovers have been perched on the edge of their seats to closely observe the moves of their favorite clubs competing in the coveted Indian Super League (2017-18). The game takes a lot of patience of the viewer as it requires close attention and the dynamics can change any second. However, what’s exciting is how strategies are used to tactfully score goals.

As for Mumbai City FC, the team is fighting hard to redeem their position and make it through to the semi final stage. Their chances seem bleak as they’re currently in the seventh position with 20 points and will anyhow need to win the remainder of 3 games to sustain.

Northeast FC is equally trying hard to retain its position but its chances are rather low owing to their last average 6 outings. Their face-off with Delhi Dynamos last week was rather disappointing.

The season 4 of ISL has expanded its wings from the earlier 8 teams to welcoming two new teams, Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC in the national league. Sourcing in the young energy of U-21 players in the squad and retaining Indian Talent in the starting six lineups instead of solely depending on foreign footballers

Jamshedpur FC has slowly and steadily risen to be a likely contender for semi-finals. An amazing defensive front, with seven victories and 4 draws, on 25 points, Jamshedpur FC is most likely to cement its position on Sunday against opponents Chennaiyin FC

Former Indian captain Bhaichung Bhutia adds, “"It has been slow and steady for Jamshedpur FC in the Hero Indian Super League. They are a team without much flair but have been very effective on the field. You need to credit coach Steve Coppell and his players for all of that. It was perhaps the slowest start when Jamshedpur drew their first three matches, won the fourth, and had only conceded one goal till their sixth match."

Last Week’s impressive goal by Nigerian player Kalu Uche opened new avenues for Delhi Dynamos defeating the helpless NorthEast FC (1 – 0) in the late 87th minute of the game at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.

ATK the most consistent team in the last 3 years, are unfortunately out of contender ship from the ISL Semi Finals owing to injury of several good players like Tom Thorpe, Robbie Keane, Zequinha and David Cotterill

The semi final will commence from the second week of March, 2018 and the final playoff will be held on 17th March, 2018 in Kolkata. The intense 5 months of the league have shown true sportsmanship.
