Exactly what I said. Anderson should never play cricket again. Can't bowl, can't bat

Bravo and Imran Tahir won the game for CSK with those two overs where they gave away only 4 runs and took the wickets of De Villiers and Anderson off consecutive balls. Crucial moment because the way De Villiers was plundering it, 240 looked possible. And I called it at the end of that Tahir over that RCB will be 10-15 runs short and they duly were.

Its not usual to see Dhoni get two 70+ scores in the first half of the tournament. He has started off well here, I would dare say (touch wood). Hope he keeps up his intensity till the end. One good stroke from Dhoni in the Kings XI game would have ensured an all win record for CSK in the first 6 games. We've been very lucky so far, and I hope the day when the luck runs out does not come in a knockout.

That was constructive criticism. You got to feel for us CSK fans who go through such heart stoppers almost match after match. Yes, Dhoni backs himself even if it is 20+ runs per over required in the last 3-4 overs. But the heart stoppers are painful for the fans.

It was a champion innings today! Totally in the zone was MSD and Ambati Rayudu played another astonishing innings after the last one. To me, he is again the MoM. CSK are perfecting these last over heists and dont give a damn even if the required rate is 18-20 runs per over. T20 is getting into scary zones of big hitting.

Well, why don't you try being a RCB fan? Actually, to hell with that, I'm not one. I'm a hardcore ABD fan. That's why I support RCB.. do you feel for them? Probably, the most complete and destructive batsman of this generation and no silverware to show for his efforts. He's been in shite teams that are overrated as fuc/<. The irony is that the overrating is a lot down to AB's own charisma and breathtaking chutzpah.

Good lord I swear I thought I had seen the best of AB but the way he's batting at the moment.. It's mind boggling!

Corey Anderson didn't just go for all those runs.. He also got AB out. He single handedly sucked the momentum out of the innings. I have seen QdK play for other franchises and SA and I've never seen him so rushed while batting. It's strikingly similar to the serum Pujara had got in SA. Wonder who the common denominator is?

De Villiers was striking at 300+ at one point.. from a NRR of 7 he had single handedly taken it to 10.5. All he had to do was give the strike to AB. The same applied to Anderson. Yet, it seemed as though they were trying to hit the ball into the Indian ocean!

Even before his injuries and break from cricket he was no good.

Well there some players even in Cricket that are man of the moment. Like Corey Anderson's Fastest Century and Carlos Brairthwate 4 sixes in the final and maybe many others. Now don't get me wrong here. I'm not saying that Braithwate or Anderson are worse players. But I can't remember a single match winning performance from them after that.

Just reading the quotes of both captains after in the post match and I saw this.
What's important in a chase is to know which bowler has how many left and who the captain will bowl when and you play accordingly.
I genuinely do think not many captains think like this either their team is chasing or defending. Indeed MS Dhoni is the best captain I've seen growing up.

He might even be dropped, his value to the team drops considerably when he's not captain anymore. Hasn't got many runs either, so DD might look to play someone else in that case.

For RCB
  • Why play Grandhomme if you're not gonna let him bowl?
  • Why insist on keeping Corey Anderson in the playing XI?
  • Is there no better option than Siraj? Same goes for Negi

For CSK
  • Why in the world is Jadeja batting above Bravo?
  • Shouldn't Dhoni be batting a position higher than he currently is?

These are the questions that keep baffling me.

Kohli has been fined 12 lakh for slow over rate. That's a crazy amount.

I hope he's banned for a game or two. RCB might have a chance to get a few wins.. I say this with utmost seriousness that he's the worst captain I've seen in cricket.

I already have to live with the fact that a guy like Kohli is captaining the Indian cricket team, the team that I passionately follow. I do not want to be a fan of any other team that Kohli captains. :D :p

These are the questions that keep baffling me.

Dhoni did bat in higher positions in earlier matches. Yesterday (against RCB), he decided to float himself around. I guess he knew the Chinnaswamy's size and backed himself to help finish the game. Showed in the way he was hitting those sixes. Actually it was a six hitting fest yesterday considering the ease with which both teams were clearing the ropes. It was so unusual to see Dhoni hit his second ball of the innings for a six.

As far as Jadeja is concerned, Dhoni has said before IPL and during IPL that they are looking to give Jadeja higher batting positions to give him more exposure/responsibility. I am sure the logic behind that is fine if you take Jadeja's batting style into consideration. Just that I am not sure if Jadeja is his current form deserves the higher batting position. In fact, Jadeja in his current form, brings up the question as to whether it was the right move to retain him over Ashwin. Even his fielding (which has always been exceptional) seems to have tapered off

Good decision (finally!) to drop Yuvraj and bring in Manoj Tiwary! Also with Gayle back, I am strongly backing Punjab to win this here. Should be a great game, with SRH's bowling vs Punjab's batting. I am really liking the look of Punjab this season.

Love to see Aussies playing but how is finch still in the line up and Stoinis on the bench. 5 matches 16 runs. Stoinis does exactly what finch does with the bat by going after bowlers when necessary and can bowl a few overs. Why play both Gayle and finch, especially when was is doing absolutely nothing
