This "umpires call" is an absolute nonsence. It is designed to cover up a poor decision. De Bruyn should have been out on consecutive balls before he had reached double figures. This is a black spot on the DRS and has to be looked at.

Thanks and agree a big blow - wonder where they will play instead ?
I mean, wouldn't it be common sense to play in some other venue? There are plenty of grounds I'm guessing in SL.

The officials should go with Arjuna Ranatunga's suggestion which is mentioned at the end of the article, just demolish the 500 people stand and put temporary stands there for matches. This ground is very iconic and beautiful, it would be awful to see no cricket being played in front of ancient forts.

South African batting line up is really hurting from the loss of De Villiers.[DOUBLEPOST=1532171962][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, congratulations to Maharaj for his first 10-wicket hall. Well bowled.

So far Theunis Bruyn hold southafrica innings together with
84 not out at Lunch on day 4.

246 for 7 better than 139 for 5 yesterday.Herath took two wickets today ( Bavuma 63 and Kock 8) to extend his test tally to 428 or 430 wickets, not sure.he get closer to Richard Hadlee 431 and Dev 434.
