What the hell did SRH do? Warner and Dhawan were somgood together and with the coming of Williamson, we would finally have had a settled top order. Damn!

We should have kept Cameron Bancroft and Tom Curran, both were useful and Bancroft in South Africa would be excellent.
Thank goodness Vinay Kumar is released. ONE OF THE MOST USELESS PLAYER EVER.

I think the governing council of the IPL needs to come down hard on people like Dhawan. The rascal was being paid upward of Rs 5 crores for 2 months and he felt he deserved more? Fair enough, he went into the pool and auction dynamics or whatever, he went for that price. That should be that. To be 'unsettled' shouldn't be an option to the player. If he wants a new challenge and wants to go to a new franchise because he doesn't feel he's valued enough, then he should be playing for another franchise at the same price he was sold to the previous franchise for. At this rate, the auction will be rendered useless if players start acting up like this. Someone needs to tell this moron that Bumrah is playing for MI for 7 crores and I don't think in that format he's any less valuable than a Kohli who goes for 16.5. Hell, I feel he's more valuable than Kohli!!

Secondly, why the hell have RCB traded Mandeep for Stoinis? They already have 2 half decent all rounders? What Indian batting do they have bar Kohli and Parthiv? :facepalm

What could we expect for Shimron Hetmyer ? 10 cr ? Or would it be too much ?[DOUBLEPOST=1545116085][/DOUBLEPOST]I guess even Sam Curran can receive a very good price considering the way he had performed in Sri Lanka

I am hoping that Jonny Bairstow would get attention from the owners of the franchises

Surprisingly Ben Stokes was retained by RR after a mediocre performance with the bat last year. But happy that they are still stuck with Steve Smith(even after the ban) so as SRH with Warner but with Dhawan's trade they look to be in disarray

And as always Chennai have made no chance to their squad. They released just 3 players

And I think that Mumbai should've parted ways with Kieron Pollard because he doesn't inspire confidence at all to the Mumbai Camp. Anyways they kept him with them. I am very sure they would give out their best to buy back Malinga but I still feel they should give Lendl Simmons equal importance but with De Kock in the squad they don't seem like to go for him

Mohit Sharma to CSK. How they get exactly what they want is beyond me. MSD is genius!

The auction is over and KKR have a squad of 14. Buy backs are about to happen, what the hell are they doing?

EDIT: They have 15, but Nagarkoti, Mavi and Lynn are very injury prone. Rinku Singh was poor last year.

They managed to get Brathwaite but the logic to pick him with Russell already there escapes me. Just bizarre. Why on earth were they bidding for Chakravarthy when they already have Kuldeep, Narine and Chawla?

That's a beautiful buy. Mohit Sharma was the guy who stopped Dhoni right on his tracks in that last over against KXIP and won KXIP the match (when Dhoni was on a rampage). And Mohit is a former CSK'ian who has done really well for CSK. And considering CSK and Dhoni's penchant for bringing out the best in players who do not do well for other franchises, don't be surprised if Mohit turns out to be a star buy.

CSK have one more slot available for an Indian player with 3.4 crores. Hope they get a backup for Harbhajan. CSK fans on Twitter are on a fantasy trip, wanting CSK to pick Yuvraj Singh so that they can see a MSD-Yuvi reunion on CSK colours. But I highly doubt CSK will have any interest in Yuvraj considering that our batting order is jam packed and Yuvi's left arm spin isn't great shakes.

R Ashwin seems to be smarter, in helping his franchise buy potentially very Tamil Nadu bowlers like M Ashwin and Varun Chakravathi. Wonder what the hair is L Balaji doing out there in the CSK owners dug out? Anyways, the MSD and Fleming magic somehow ensures that they make great use of whatever talent CSK picks.

I still wish someday CSK picks good local talent instead of letting them go to other franchises.

CSK, SRH and RCB look like complete squads. RCB won't make the play off's because they have a moron in the form of a captain.

Can someone please explain why KXIP went for Chakravarthy for 8 odd crores when they already have Ashwin who will play as captain and Mujeeb who was their best bowler? Just stupid.

I predict KXIP and DC to get a hammering! KKR as well.

Someone please tell me what the hell KKR was thinking bidding 8 crores for Chakravarthy with a squad of 14 with 40 lacs left in the purse? Sheer madness!

CSK went all out for Chakravarthy, they just fell short of funds. SRH and CSK basically got all that they wanted for dirt cheap.

I'm still skeptical about SRH local batting.
Wouldn't be hard to agree with that. Dhawan was let off so easily, one of the best local batsmen for SRH. Look likes rather we're going to have an overseas heavy top order followed by the locals mainly in the middle order. I think Bairstow was a great buy, SRH were missing a good keeper batsman at the top of the order, but losing a solid local batsman at the top is going to cause some issues. To accommodate Shakib in the team would mean playing Saha/Goswami at the top, which I don't have high confidence in. Manish Pandey was pretty poor last season too. Shankar was a good trade but he is unpredictable just like Hooda and Yusuf in the middle order. But the biggest missing piece is a solid Indian top-order batsman in Dhawan. Keeping him would balance the side.

Potential side:

Warner
Saha/Goswami/Bairstow
Williamson
Pandey
Shakib
Shankar
Hooda/Yusuf
Rashid
Bhuvi
Sandeep
Kaul/Thampi/Nadeem(spinning pitch)

Being a RCBian, I do feel we have a good mixture of local and foriegn players this time. Solid top order to follow with some young talented middle order and tailenders.

But I feel we lack some experience in the middle order. This is the best possible lineup I could compile from the 20+ men squad:

Parthiv Patel
Padikkal
Virat Kohli
Hetmyer
ABD
Shivam Dubey
Stoinis
Sundar/Moeen Ali/Grandhomme
Chahal
Siraj/Southee/Coulter-Nile
Yadav

Virat SHOULD bat down the order in order to give more stability to the middle order, since we already have ABD/Hetymer, there won't be any issue of Run rate.
