Being a RCBian, I do feel we have a good mixture of local and foriegn players this time. Solid top order to follow with some young talented middle order and tailenders.

But I feel we lack some experience in the middle order. This is the best possible lineup I could compile from the 20+ men squad:

Parthiv Patel
Padikkal
Virat Kohli
Hetmyer
ABD
Shivam Dubey
Stoinis
Sundar/Moeen Ali/Grandhomme
Chahal
Siraj/Southee/Coulter-Nile
Yadav

Virat SHOULD bat down the order in order to give more stability to the middle order, since we already have ABD/Hetymer, there won't be any issue of Run rate.

I completely disagree. Ali/De Grandhomme are useless at 8. I would personally not even play Ali this season because he's off after the first 5 games. And Kohli opening and AB at 3 is when RCB are at their destructive best!

Parthiv
Kohli
AB
Dubey
Hetmyer
Stoinis
Sundar/Negi/ Any other local batsman
Southee/Coulter-Nile
Umesh
Siraj
Chahal

Every season we have been witnessing a sudden collapse after ABD/Kohli. We need some depth in batting order, I think Coulter Nile, Stoinis won't be available for us in the later half of the tournament. Hence we cannot try the a new combination with young team, we have the debutant-youngsters this time. That's the reason why I preferred regular players.

I feel that every year but we never win. To be honest, I haven't followed the auction this time around. I know that we bought Hetmyer but no idea who else is IN.

I think they should shorten the IPL . Wrap it up in 30 days max. Split it into 2 groups of 5

Going by today's ODI, both MSD and Virat were struggling in between deliveries with stamina / fitness. IPL will only sap their energy and won't even provide good practice for the world cup

Are we discussing IPL 2019 in this thread? Or a seperate thread will be created?

I can't wait for it to start. CSK must find it harder as their ageing players must've turned a year older. But we have the talismanic MSD on our side with some good brains like Stephen Fleming to add in. Hope this time, our bowling problems are reduced. Mohit Sharma is back with CSK and I think him and Deepak Chahar can make a great Indian fast bowling attack with Ngidi and Willey to add as the overseas guys. I feel Willey should get more batting this season as that guy can wreck havoc (I was hoping he would get to bat last season, but he didn't).

As a CSK fan, I don't want to pray for a new team to lift this IPL. I will want us to defend the title again and continue being champions.

Moving away from the topic a bit

2 time Champions Mumbai Indians ? I thought they won thrice. The media websites should atleast keep the facts in mind before publishing the article :spy[DOUBLEPOST=1552579985][/DOUBLEPOST]

Rohit's form is critical for MI to win the title. Hope that he is a bit more responsible with his batting this time around which he hasn't done for a while now.

Yet another brilliant ad! Love the vibe around IPL this year, for a change I cannot wait for it to being. I am actually more interested in IPL as compared to the WC.
