Watched couple more episodes, there is so much emotion and drama when it comes to CSK. From spot fixing to the matches being moved out due to kauvery water issue. Also seeing Dhoni cry.. wow! That is a first, have never seen ever the emotional side of Dhoni.
Watched the 1st episode its quite good IMO looking forward to see more of it.

For the first time since Kohli took over captaincy, I have no hopes of RCB making into top 4 this season, forget winning. Gonna be two long months as RCB fan.

RCB's season and how far they go is entirely dependent on Kohli's batting form. If he clicks, they will have a decent to above decent season. But as always, his questionable leadership skills and the lack of a mentor in RCB to guide Kohli on decision making, is very likely to act as the usual nemesis for RCB.

Also more than blaming Kohli, the bigger blame should go on the owners, whose leadership should actually be the one that's questioned. There are a few owners who have no idea of cricket and have a jumbled mindset, and yet are in this business because its a cash cow (e.g. the Mallya's, the Zinta's, the Delhi owners). I think SRH, MI and KKR have probably the best owners. CSK is the best till they have Dhoni in the mix. I hope that the day Dhoni stops playing the IPL, he gets heavily involved with the CSK leadership team and owns the franchise (he is VP of India Cements, by the way). Because the day Dhoni disassociates from CSK, the franchise could easily and truly collapse.

Just 15 minutes into "Roar of the Lion" web series and I am filled with nostalgia/emotions that is so overwhelming to bear. This is exceptional timing to release this right before IPL 2019. I am sure CSK fans must be watching/watched this and when they come to the stadium to watch IPL 2019 (or on TV/wherever), they will wear the emotion on their sleeves.

And I have a feeling RCB will exceed expectations this season.

I can't even watch it :facepalm. Could just watch one episode and other episodes require membership from Hostar ₹199/month. There's no point in paying as I use the app solely to watch Cricket Highlights which is free and to subscribe it just to watch one series is just useless !!!!! Hopefully it gets telecasted on Star Sports

Nonsense. An extremely strange post from a very knowledgable person.

Just review the last decade, or ask a pained fan like me. Kohli and AB have made runs almost all seasons and won 2-3 games on their own. It is the rest, that really haven't been allowed to blossom. Note, my choice of words. Watson, Gayle, Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Manish Pandey, Albie Morkel, Jacques Kallis, Brendon McCullum, Quinton de Kock and I could name a lot more who have had very successful IPL careers but been absolute nobody's in the RCB ranks. I think apart from Gayle, everyone in that list bombed for us. Why? They're not bad cricketers but if you constantly chop and change, people get confused and after a point absolutely fed up. That is Virat Kohli. For heaven's sake, the ludicrous fellow saw Wasim Akram in Corey Anderson last year and someone who would be your sixth bowler was actually our main death bowler. Just allow that to sink in. RCB's owners have broken the bank to give Kohli the players he wants but he likes to make it all about himself and the only bloke who could hold a candle to him is AB. Well, you won't find very many AB's in the world. A final we reached and an Elimnator we reached in the last 5 years were on the back of AB's MOM in those games.

Coming to CSK, I'm a huge Dhoni fan but I have immense respect for the franchise too. You see their set up and it's been the same bloody yellow lot for 12 years. Did I just say 12 years? They're effectively India Cements team and they have been a cricket team in some capacity for 35-40 years and always had this mantra of choose and stick. This is actually where Dhoni actually learnt a lot about backing cricketers and management and support staff to the hilt. MSD is a massive part of CSK and the "Thala" name does him absolute justice but the franchise is much bigger than him and the only one of the eight to have been there two decades before an IPL was even there. CSK is by far the most "cricket oriented" franchise not just in India but the world.

As for KKR and SRH? They have good people running the show, but not 5% the heritage of CSK or rather India Cements. MI is basically an Ambani cash haven. They have money to buy everything so if you compare resources to results, I'd say they're quite average. Their bloody support staff must be the purse of RR 3-4 years back. They're a good team but not a great franchise. RCB, less said the better. Ravi Shastri would be the ideal coach for this team with the drinking and womanising and all the crap.

In a nutshell, CSK existed prior to MSD and always will. He although, will no doubt forever be remembered as the son of Chennai born in Ranchi. Perhaps, after the great Rajnikant, Chennai's greatest superstar.

The best thing about this year's Ipl is not having that bizzare and stupid opening and closing ceremonies - complete of waste of time and money.
Give the IPL president or chairperson whoever takes the call a "Karbonn Sensible Decision Maker 2019" award in this year ceremony.. :p

Looking forward to see what Shivam Dube brings to this RCB team. I have heard a lot about him being a gun fast bowling all-rounder which is a rare commodity in India. I am really interested in seeing how he performs in his debut IPL season.

I read somewhere that today's pitch is more favorable to the spinners. So Chennai have 3 spinners while RCB has 2 (one is part timer). I dearly hope this doesn't effect us more in the middle overs.

From twitter wow

The last time RCB beat CSK at Chepauk:
1)Virat Kohli had not played for India
2)Anil Kumble was India’s Test captain
3)Sachin had 81 international tons
4)MS Dhoni had captained India in 32 international games

It was May 21, 2008

add this to my personal stuff, I was still in India, I was only 16 year old and had not even created a Planet Cricket account yet. :clap:lol
