Bangladesh A v West Indians 3 day match at Chittagong

Bangladesh A batted much better in their 2nd innings and took the match into the final session.
The West Indians eventually prevailed but a fighting hundred by Habibul Bashar had restored some pride for the home side.
Ambrose lead the way with the ball after a quiet first innings to finish with 4 wickets and Dillon was again effective.

West Indies won by 196 runs

Winning a 3 Day match is actually hard, Great captaincy from Brain Lara, knew exactly what he was doing and when to declare. I have to say bowlers did justice to their captain's trust.

India A v Australians 4 day match at Kanpur

India A won the toss and elected to bat on a very slow pitch.
Rain after the toss wiped out the first session and regular showers would continue to hamper progress throughout the match.
The home team lost wickets steadily in their first innings to be all out for 138 early on Day 2.
Stuart MacGill continued his impressive start in Australian colours with his second 5 wicket haul of the tour and seems set to make his debut in the first Test in Bangalore.

With most of the Australians among the runs the visitors made slow but steady progress towards a lead of close to 200 before declaring.
Matthew Hayden again lead the way, and half centuries to Martyn and Steve Waugh ensured a healthy total.
Murali Kartik bowled a marathon spell of 57 overs to slow the scoring but the India A bowling was lacklustre in unhelpful conditions.

A fighting century to Ramesh enabled India A to escape with the draw as the home team made a much better fist of their 2nd innings.
Adding century partnerships with Laxman and Jadeja, man of the match Ramesh took the game out of reach of the Australians before a late declaration left the Australian openers to bat out time.
A slow pitch and delays for rain made a positive result difficult to achieve in a match the Australians dominated from the outset.

India v Australia - 1st Test - Calcutta

Pitch: 61 - A flat track of dried mud that is likely to look and behave exactly the same at the end of the
match as at the start. Batting should be easy but stroke making rather less so, as the pitch is
bound to be slow paced. Lots of runs scored at a slow pace could well produce a high scoring
drawn match.
