Why is the game so expensive on steam?

I'm sure it has been answered before. It's expensive basically because of piracy. Piracy doesn't damage the console market as much as it damages the PC market, and the game is already very niche. So the devs face the dilemma of using a lower price point and actually losing sales as well. As noted above, it's basically the only player in town; there's no price competition (except with pirates and old games) and you're really either a person who plays cricket games or not. So discounts aren't likely to drive sales unless the game is like $5 and streamers or youtubers start playing it for a meme. Big Ant has said they like to have a PC version (I don't know how community content would happen without it), but it adds a lot of pitfalls to the project.
