Storage space maxed out on xbox one console

I bought a digital (no disc) version of a game on xbox one recently and had the rigmarole of having to free up space on the internal hard drive. Have any members got any suggestions on how they effectively use the storage space on their xbox one.......or do I need to consider purchasing an external hard drive? Just thought I'd ask for advice now before Cricket 19 releases!

yes,don't mess around deleting stuff just invest in a good external hard drive,you'll never look back.
I'd suggest going for a 2tb one then you'll never fill it up.
