How do you play a sweep shot?

i have tried every feasible direction on the right stick and I can’t pull off a sweep shot. Any advice on how to play one? Do you need to use unorthodox shot button to play one? I play on classic mode, broadcast cam.

yes unorthodox button for sweep but how do you do a scoop

Yes, unorthodox button(L1 on XboxOne) is required for sweep shot.

L1 + RS square or front of square is Sweep Shot
L1 + RS behind square is Lap/Scoop Shot

 

[Acid Burn]

L1 + RS Point or behind of point is Reverse Sweep Shot

All of the above couple with L2 = Lofted sweeps

how do you do the sweep shot on the xbox one. i have tried but i still dont know how. can someone please tell me. i use standard controls

I wish there were some sort of listing for all shot types. I seem to remember that there was one posted for DB 14.
