Bangladesh is striking some rich form in the triseries with Ireland and Windies

They have strolled into the final witg 3 out of 3 wins. They have looked very calm and mature in all 3 games. Anyone taking them lightly in this format at the World cup will do so at their own peril

They even did well before CT'17 and reached the Semi-finals. I believe they wouldn't make it to the knock-outs but they would look to beat India as a revenge for the Asia Cup Final which they lost last year

Read somewhere that Kedar Jadhav might be fit only for the second match of India's WC campaign. I personally feel its a huge risk (if this news is true). Earlier it was said that Jadhav will be fit in time when the team leaves for the WC. Considering the reputation/prestige of the tournament, Jadhav should be replaced. And I would pick a guy like Manish Pandey or Krunal Pandya (if need to replace Jadhav's bowling also). I know these two are not in the official standby list but the current selection committee are known to make decisions out of the blue and so I might as well put my ideal choices out. If they stick to the options on the official standby list, then Rishabh Pant should be the replacement for Jadhav.

This tournament is going to be such a shit load if pitches behave the same way. The pitches in England are absolutely joke and no bats an eye. 350 every single match lol! Indian pitches used to do this and people would absolutely mock and make fun of the pitch curators and since a few England has got those pitches no one now bats an eye. Pathetic!

It was even more pathetic to see that people used to call the Indian batsman flat track bullies and when this wasn't enough they dragged Sachin Tendulkar into it and even called him a flat-track bully. In an ideal world to call Sachin Tendulkar a flat-track bully is the most idiotic thing as he was the guy who made runs in all conditions against all oppositions. Suddenly when England scores well people started calling them the best team in the world.... Lol do they deserve such compliments ? When was the last time they batted well on a competitive wicket ?

Respectfully disagree.

Jadhav's pretty much the only reliable player in our fragile middle order. Most other teams would love to have a player who averages 40+ and has a strike rate of 100+. I remember him being third on the list of batsmen with the highest strike rates during the death overs over the last four years, only trailing behind Jos and Maxi. Even if he wasn't a part time bowler, he has to be in the team purely for his batting alone. His fitness is my only concern. I would say that he's very underrated by Indian fans. Even if it means him missing a game or two, I'd still have him in the squad.

Apparently the ICC is going to prepare the wickets. Hoping for some sense to prevail and we get some balance.

If ICC is doing it, all the more we can expect it to be flat and produce batting fests. They will cater to the majority of the modern way cricket audience who enjoy watching fours and sixes being hit.

I did not say anything about Jadhav's selection in the initial squad of 15. I was just saying that it's a big risk to carry a half fit Jadhav hoping that he would recover by the 2nd or 3rd match.

But now, official news has come that he is fit for the WC. And I am happy about that. Jadhav with his middle order batting in ODI's and his useful off spin is valuable.

This sudden revisionism over England’s inability to bat is a bit strange. They’re the number one ranked team in ODIs for a reason, which is why they’re called the best team in the world....? Their only issue is the occasional collapse which is a result of their high risk, high reward game plan.

I believe the pitches would be pretty much like the ones we get in Sri Lanka or we used to get in India 5-6 years ago. There will definitely be some turn and decent bounce in the pitch. At the end of the day nobody would want to watch a 80-over game. People enjoy to watch full 100-overs
