Just going to insert a post of mine that I wrote a few days ago. What do you guys think? @Bevab @SaiSrini @LiveLoveABD

I agree with mostly everything you say.

I have been a SA fan for a good decade, decade and a half and very honestly, once the greats left, only Amla and de Villiers have been proven players against quality spin. Amla is done now and AB finished his own misery off.

I'll just give you a list of people who could have been in this batting line up- Roussow, Ingram and AB. That to me, looks like a hell of a middle order mate. SA has to protect it's talent from deviating to other countries.

I don't know who is going to come in or if Gibson will continue @Aalay but SA's number 1 agenda after this tournament has to be playing spin and specially wrist spin. It is a major major area of concern.

I mean, I wouldn't be very pleased if we lost to Afghanistan. You need to beat the less strong sides to do well in a tournament. I don't think Afghanistan is a bad team but we have to take advantage of the games where we have an upper. It's not about preventing an upset or being obsessed about losing to certain teams, it's about us doing what we should be doing with our ability. We have a lot to lose and it should be acknowledged.

I honestly don't think we're playing to full potential with the ball in hand, we should have kept all of our opponents except NZ to much smaller totals. That really cost us in the England and Australia games where we should have had a better chance of chasing the total down.

I think he really wants to make this World Cup count. He's into his thirties and he probably wants a World Cup trophy (however difficult it might be) to show for his efforts over the years.

Then I should be upset if Bangladesh beat India? I'm not judging someone for being upset, but I've reached a stage where I won't be. As long as India try their best overall, it's fine. You are bound to have bad days and you are going to have days someone excels.

Perhaps what I am trying to say is, I'm not crazy about India has to beat Pakistan/Bangladesh etc etc. A loss against anyone would be disappointing and no one team in particular. I'm happy as long as India qualify and after that, it's anyone's cup really. Can't be too upset.

Talking about Pakistan's perspective, to be honest I m more concerned with our match against Bangladesh than Newzeland.

This World Cup is at its peak now. Whosoever now play good cricket will deserved to be among semi finalists. I like One Day Cricket, Its here to stay

Shakib Al Hasan what a tournament he is having!

Meanwhile I feel Sri Lanka has a great opportunity as well to make it to top 4 their next 3 games against SA,WI and the last one against India and if manage win all three they will sit with 12 points which will give them an edge incase Bangladesh or Pakistan finish with 11 points max.

"I didn't see it [Kohli's comments] but when I heard about it I thought about it for quite a while. I thought about 'would it help in the right way?', 'is it right?'. But it didn't sit right with me.

In further comments to the BBC, Morgan clarified his position on the booing of Warner. "I would never use the position I'm in to influence fans or try to change the game in some way. They have committed something and they have served their penalty. It doesn't necessarily mean they are welcomed back with open arms into the cricket community.

"Regaining trust takes a lot of time. Who knows how long it will take. I don't think I could do anything, or should do anything, to try influence the fans to change their mind."

Very strange take from Morgan on booing of Warner and Smith. If you are in a position of influence, you should certainly use it to do something good and change the game for good. As a sportsman, you should have a little bit of empathy for folks who have done the time and are returning to the game, regardless of their nationality. Booing is just pathetic.

And English cricketers should be the last ones to act all high and mighty, when Monty Panesar recently admitted that he helped the English pacers by tampering the ball with foreign substances.

I hope Smith and Warner score centuries today, and hand them a drubbing :)

Don't agree with this at all. This is ridiculous actually

Bangladesh actually have a lot to lose. I'm pretty sure they did not come into this tournament to just compete but came in with the goal for securing a semi final spot. And they have the team to do so as well. Then losing to Afghanistan would definitely be an upset.

And I would even have started them as favorites against all teams except the current top 4. They pretty much acknowledged the same when the were disappointed thoroughly when their fixture against Sri lanka was washed out. They were targeting that game for 2 points and had to settled for just 1.

This BD side is very strong and is definitely well ahead of the likes of present day AFG, WI, SL

They could easily beat us as well if we make a couple of mistakes

It's not about they can beat anyone or not but the fact is they are easier to beat as compared to England, Australia, New Zealand or India and they've definitely shown signs of being under pressure in crunch situations. But they never come with an attitude that we have to play defensively because we are playing a team which is stronger than us and neither they do have fear that if they play aggressively when put under pressure against a team that isn't stronger than them they would lose that is what I meant. And I don't think I have said that Bangladesh would won't mind missing on Semi-final spot. What I meant is they won't lose any pride if they lose against Afghanistan.

And with the way Indian team boasts about their performance in Press conference (Ravi Shastri in particular) and if they lose to Afghanistan they would've lot of pride to lose. And it was very much the case with Australia as well in the 2003-2007 era.

I disagree with your basic conclusion itself. That they would not lose any pride if they lost against Afghanistan. This would have been true a decade back, but not today. I wouldnt put it past BD to beat the top 4, especially if conditions are favorable.

You seem to have a very archaic view of what Bangladesh team currently is. I would say, they are on par with what Sri Lanka was in 1996. Not the best in the world, but good enough to win the cup

I heard Sunny Gavaskar on pre-match show saying that England-Australia rivalry is more intense than India-Pakistan. Who would agree with him ? I really do not and cannot.

With England winning the toss and choosing to bowl first I expect this match to be similar to CT'17 match. Think Australia won't manage more than 260-270 and England will run away with the chase as the pitch is expected to flatten out in the 2nd innings. Finally we get to see Nathan Lyon in the side, but Behrendorff doesn't seem to be a great inclusion against England as they have a lot of left-handers in their line-up.

Ah, would've loved to see England batting first on this pitch.
