Finch really f***ed it up this time .. scored run a ball, and then got out right after Padikkal forcing ABD and VK to play a few overs out before launching. If he had stuck around and gone for the attack in middle overs (against weaker bowlers), it would have helped VK and ABD transition without pressure

Well, we’ve gotten used to these paerformances from him...

Superb innings that from him tho. I was afraid RCB were gonna reach upto 175-180 when he hit Bhuvi for four on the first ball

The context is crucial with regards to his innings. Last season I remember him trying to be more aggressive to get more runs and getting out slogging before making a significant impact in several games (by his own high standards anyways). In the past he would have got most of those starts converted but his decline made the slight difference in him not being able to score those boundaries in the middle overs targeting the best bowlers (same happened in the BBL). Today though he chose to play out Rashid without taking any risks, targeted only the bad balls and went for the kill only in the last two overs. It looks like he has adapted his playing style more which will hugely benefit RCB. Now that I think of it, the RCB side of the last 2-3 years would have crumbled by 140 trying to hit out against Rashid. New coach already making the difference?

I do not think this will be an easy chase either. Had it been any other side bowling I would have backed them to defend it but RCB just has that aura around them to concede heavily in an over or two.

Yeah I just don't understand why he tries to bowl a outswinger from leg stump line he tries that in every format be it Tests or ODIs only to get whacked.

As Sunny Gavaskar was saying on air just get the line right & he will be very tough to get away.

RCB need to get Bairstow OUT immediately. With the likes of Garg, Shankar, Abhishek coming up and with Marsh having his injury, they can get an opening if they get Bairstow out really soon.

On a side note, anyone watch this on DugOut? That has perhaps the best commentary team among all... Really fun to watch that.
