They way England is playing at the moment, I wouldn't give India even a 0.1% chance of drawing the Test, let alone winning it. Everything is stacked up against us. The home team is on a roll, we are not known to be good starters, hear that the ground is sort of a lucky one for England and finally the conditions that will make our already fragile batting look like nine pins.

Having that said, I wouldn't hold it against India if they lose. It's not easy to get used to the format after just 1 tour match. Add to it that England are already warmed up with a 3-0 win. So, my money is on the scoreline reading 2-2 at the end of this match. Might even just be a 3-day Test. But it was a hell of a series when it was played.

England are still vulnerable. 65/5 in that first innings. New Zealand selection and captaincy was quite poor throughout that series. There's a good chance the first test would have gone to New Zealand had it not been for CdG's feet.

India also has player that could fight fire with fire with the bat, if necessary.

That being said, I could still see England blowing India away. :lol

This musical chairs around Indian captaincy has to stop. Ever since Dravid has taken over, the debuts and captaincy have been handed on a platter to anyone who has been in the side for the last 4 years or so.

I fear the reign of Dravid, the coach might go down similar to the reign of Dravid, the captain. Not in terms of winning bilaterals, but in terms of the off-field controversies. It would be really sad to see that happen.

Well the fact is India never had their Captains and vice-Captains getting injured altogether in the past. Don't think even Dravid can do anything about it.

Have... have you seen the Indian bowling attack? We're still very capable of being 89 all out.

As an ex-head of NCA, you ought to have that keen eye wherein you can guage the fitness levels of players. Furthermore, injuries will happen, but why has Dravid not yet identified that one person who will take India forward? Every series, there's a new set of captain and deputy taking centrestage. If Hardik is the man, you should have let him captain vs SA.

If for the shorter formats, you are keen on a person, make him fly to Ireland, captain the side and then head back. Its that simple really! months to go for the WT20 and we have had 5 captains, 1 ex-captain and 2 vice-captain who are in the thick of things. This aint ideal preparation.

89 all out still seems better when compared to 36 all out

India is specifically known to fumble in those areas as well.

India also has player that could fight fire with fire with the bat, if necessary.
If you're referring to who I think you're referring to, the last 2-3 years should indicate what will transpire when he walks out to bat.

That being said, I could still see England blowing India away. :lol
Now we're talking :p

True, we seem to posses a slightly more potent attack than NZ but you can't expect them to bowl oppositions out under 200 every time. Not when your batsmen have hardly given you enough cushion to attack.

Ouch! That still hurts :(

GG, although Billings looks like a surprise pick. More attacking cricket?

It's official now Bumrah will led the side tommorrow. Stupid Pant is the Vice-Captain. With the contention of KL Rahul and Pant in the captaincy roles, the future of team India is in safe hands. :laughter::laughter::laughter:
