I am not gonna watch the game tonight.

Was really pleased and refreshing to see the youngsters play some fearless brand of cricket but now all we got is out of form big ego legends fighting for their places.

Did not get to post about Thursday's game because it was too late that day and busy with some family function yesterday. So I am on it now-

  • I believe Rohit Sharma has finally found someone who can push him for his spot in the side in Samson and hence he played a little more fearless brand of Cricket. I would love to see him score with this approach more often than scoring those 40s or 60s by taking time into his innings
  • I had my reservations against Hooda's effectiveness v/s pace bowling but so far it has come off really well! Major thing that has really helped is the approach with which he is playing.
  • The more I say about SKY the less it would seem but I think he still needs to work out his shot selection at times.
  • Hardik has really taken it up to be a great match winner for India since his GT stint as Captain. 1st half century in T20Is in all these years and that too at a good strike rate. He did really well bowling those cutters against England's top order. Quite impressive!
  • Axar also showing that give an opportunity and if promoted up the order, he can still contribute for the team. Still a little concerned about his bowling though.
  • DK was quite good but I want to see him batting a little earlier than what he did the last night.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar haven't delivered quite as such in last few games but when he has done it he has gone for the kill! And this is what he did the last night by getting Buttler out with the beautiful swing on offer!!
  • Arshdeep Singh had a great debut and it did not at all look like he was facing any pressure to perform. Good display of bowling from him.
  • Harshal needs to look after his running between the wickets :p
A decent game to start off this series. Although I can see England coming harder in next game.

One thing Rohit is going down off late is his team selection. Opening with Pant seems a worser decision.

So the intent is still the same which is good to see.

Just fit in Hooda in the squad, I'll be all in rooting for this approach.

Kohli will be under tremendous pressure. Hooda will be back soon. Go India. Great to see, Pant opening. :goggle:

Gleeson seems to have some good pace! Is it like he has come off the age and doing well just recently? He could've easily played for England earlier than this.

Why do Kohli always seems to get out in ways that most of the player will get a 2nd life on?

Sony Liv is showing us the advertisement more than the match. It's like we are here to watch advertisement and match is just an additional benefit. They just cut the Live to advertisement without a second to show us what's happening on the field.
