Ok I've got some genuine questions regarding this side now then as the season is heading towards an end. It looks a little unlikely that KKR will qualify for the top 4 barring some miracle. So these are my questions......

1. Does anyone think that the squad that KKR have assembled doesn't go well with how Shreyas Iyer approaches the game?

2. Should KKR have Shreyas Iyer as the Captain for the next season, will there be some changes to the squad regarding the balance of the side?

3. Does Venkatesh Iyer not opening for KKR in few of the games cause a major hurt to KKR this season?

4. How would one rate this trio of Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana batting in the top 4 and who do you think should KKR find as the 2nd opener?

5. How much value does Sunil Narine hold in this side even when he is hardly been picking wickets?

6. Should KKR find yet another proper batsman instead of finding all-rounders who again aren't as efficient with one of their 2 skills (batting/bowling)?

1. It's just they are not firing on all cylinders.
2. S Iyer is the best bet for them and not just because he is the best batter but have got the skills to lead just need fine tuning.
3. V Iyer is struggling at the moment to prove that he is not an one season hit wonder. Maybe if was opening all the matches he could have better stats but for me he wasn't in the best form anyway.
4. V. Iyer 2nd opener Rana S. Iyer is a good lineup, either they hope a local candidate rise up to the situation or go back in the market to buy someone who could what Narine/Lynn used to do for them.
5. Narine on his day wins them matches but that days are becoming a rare thing. The batters still respect him to not try too much against him. I think it's time for upgrade.
6. V. Iyer 2nd opener Rana S. Iyer batter Rinku Russel Cummins Varun Umesh Narine.

Third IPL title unloading...

Will be fascinating to see how his methods translate to the IPL. He has admitted himself in the past that his coaching wouldn’t suit an IPL franchise and yet here he is. There have been rumours of him being involved in physical altercations with players in the past and his discipline requirements are quite well known already. He is also a control freak to say the least, how much control will he be able to exert in a franchise that has already been accused multiple times of having too many cooks spoiling the broth?

On the plus side, he’s remarkably good at improving players if he gets his chance and a significant duration to work with them. He rejuvenated Mumbai and led them to the Ranji Trophy and his stints with Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh need no elaboration. Domestic stalwarts turned into champion players under his guidance. KKR have a few unheralded and a few stagnating domestic options who will benefit from him at the least.

I’m also pleased that we are finally seeing domestic coaches getting chances with Sanjay in RCB, Nehra in GT and now Pandit here. Would rather see more domestic coaches getting opportunities and these franchises building links with state teams. If Pandit can take KKR to a play-offs spot I would consider their season to be a success.

KKR reportedly considering either Narine or Rana as captain in Iyer's absence. Wonder hw that would make an Andre Russell feel? I aslo feel if Russell doesnt step up this year, KKR ought to let him go. Russell, at the moment seems more like a liability and hasn't really shone through.

I do hope that Pandit weaves his magic here and that KKR get another title.

Chand has retired from all BCCI sanctioned cricket. I think they only way they could get him is as an overseas.

They can bring him to the setup. He will end up as a local on account of the Indian passport. Since he hasn't played for USA, he would still be eligible as a local.

That's not how it works. I remember Yuvraj couldn't play for Punjab after playing in the GT20 Canada, which isn't even an official T20 comp. Chand has played MiLC, BBL and BPL.

Lord Thakur in the consideration phase! Pretty sure he will be the KKR captain! 3rd trophy loading!

Only downside of KKR winning the trophy with Lord be that the Indian selectors will name him as the captain for the upcoming series with Afg/Srl :facepalm2:
