I’ll just go for the very obvious pick of Virat Kohli as my first one. Can’t really find someone else who has been as consistent across multiple tournaments with such a big game record. He’s got some of the best knocks in WC history to his name, has been the POTM in two editions and has also the record of most runs scored in a single edition of the WC. Can’t go wrong with such a strong pick.

In my side he’ll open as I believe that is his best role. He’ll look to bat through the innings, rotate strike heavily and score plenty of boundaries over the infield in the powerplay. He’ll have a license to go loose at the death once set.
