Having licensed content for the IPL will be good for getting a lot of extra interest in the game. Remember that we've had people get copyright strikes for posting videos with IPL content in the past, this won't be an issue with official content. You'll have plenty of people now branching out with live streams/videos into the Indian crowd which will be a huge boost and cause interest to spread into more casual sections just by sheer word of mouth. I don't think people here quite get how much of an impact it could potentially have. Now of course it's all for naught if the base gameplay is bug ridden and not up to the mark alongside the game being too expensive for the Indian market but there is a real chance here for a cricket game to potentially break all sorts of sales records if everyone plays their cards right.

I have a feeling IPL mode might be added at a later time. Possible as a paid DLC.

The graphics of the "inverse cricket" game, whose trailer was released recently looks very promising especially in terms of colours and textures... although animations are very bad, physics are completely absent but having been developed on unreal engine, it seems the creators have been able to create photorealistic atmosphere..i hope that BA tweaks its sports engine to match the potential of unreal engine or look for some alternative. Although it's not possible to change the game engine at this stage of the development but BA can really take inspiration from the trailer released and tweak little things like background trees, buildings etc. I really hope BA being the only company producing quality cricket games takes growth of game engines like unreal as oppertunity..

There is also a possibility that there are other ipl teams as well though those have been kept as a surprise to aid marketing and keep the hype of the game high.. Also team of BA may still be present in India doing photogrammetry for other teams
