Not sure about an Xbox manual, but Steam has a link to the manual and it is based on the Xbox controller, so I assume it should be the same: http://store.steampowered.com/manual/464850

How are you doing in your career?

My understanding is that you will. Playing more games means more opportunities to impress, so it may just take a bit longer than if you had have played them.

    Patch 4 Wishlist and Suggestions

Yeah, I think duck only happens if the ball is high near the body, otherwise it's a leave. The no foot movement combined with leave button can accidentally turn in to a ramp shot. I inadvertently did this and it went for six, but have seen videos where it edged through to the keeper.

    Tips For DBC 17 Batting

Unless there is a 6th, 7th or 8th slip. Those guys will sometimes do superhuman dives to point and catch your well timed cut shots.

    Tips For DBC 17 Batting

For me it comes down to: Preparation -> Execution -> Analysis Preparation Know the pitch conditions. They are subtly different, but enough to matter. Know the match situation. Have you got time to get yourself in? Know your batter's current situation, i.e. stamina and confidence. It's hard to...

Don Bradman Cricket 17 - Suggestions

When you are batting in career mode, after you simulate there's the notifications that appear in the top right. The first notification is always the one about BARS is unavailable for simulated deliveries. If the field placements have changed, that appears next which is usually too late to have a...

    Field placement issues

Yeah, resetting fields has been reported as a bug. Not much to do except change them again and keep an eye out for when they reset. I expect it'll be fixed in the next patch. I think the issue with "InvalidFieldLine2" is when you try to set a field that isn't valid. E.g. too many fielders...

How are you doing in your career?

In this career I've got out three times in the 90s and yet to make a hundred!

Don Bradman Cricket 17 General Discussion

I don't disagree with those things, they are nice touches. The scenarios that I have issue with are: 1. If you hit a drive and run straight away the striker will run immediately. If you hit a drive, wait about a second, and then run, the striker won't run straight away and it's not until the...

    Review: Anyone else unsatisfied?

I did read on the Big Ant forum that they are looking at changing the club level game from T20 to something else. Their concern is not wanting games to go too long when you're just starting out so trying to keep a good balance. 40 over games could work and are fairly common. I'm pretty sure this...

How are you doing in your career?

What a start to my international career! I played my first game, which was a T20. I'm an opener and my plan was to rotate the strike and try and bat deep without too many risks as we were chasing a moderate total of around 150. We kept losing wickets at regular intervals but were keeping in...

I don't know if there's a specific duck button, but the foot movement determines the type of leave. I've seen a batter duck using a back foot leave.

How are you doing in your career?

My career player is in his 4th year and I've just received an objective to score 9,050 runs. I scored just over 1,000 runs last year across all formats, which included first class, List A, and three T20 comps around the world, so I think this one might take me a while!

How are you doing in your career?

Mate, some of those field settings were terrible. What are you doing bowling at the death with a slip, gully and leg gully? I think the four off the last ball is a bug, because with those field settings you should be getting hit for four more regularly ;). Unlucky with the caught behind off the...

Don Bradman 17 PC Now Available - General Discussion

It's a bug and it's been reported. No workaround at the moment other than keeping your own stats separately.

How are you doing in your career?

Yeah, leaving gets a small boost to confidence and stamina. Generally every ball you get a small increase in confidence. You get bigger boost in confidence by hitting boundaries and lose confidence by playing and missing, getting hit, and edges.

    Don Bradman Cricket 17 Trophies

On PC I've seen progress come up towards the dot ball achievement, which happens every thousand. I've now passed 2,000 dot balls in about 70 hours of gameplay as a batting allrounder. Probably not unreasonable someone got it in about two weeks, especially during school holidays.

DBC17 Patch 3 Now Available on PS4/Xbox One

I don't think you should expect an answer to this. It's unreasonable to expect them to name a date, it'll be released when it's ready.

How are you doing in your career?

Yeah, I had the same experience. I think it's probably the installer that Big Ant use as opposed to a steam issue. Good to know for next time as I'll start an update well before I want to play the game.
