This happened to me as well on PS4 pro even after patches. The prompts sometime use to come off the screen on far left where I could not even see it. Played around with the skills in Academy and increased fielding skills and perks. Now working for me most of the time

Big Ant can't even break even on the PC version. PC is more of goodwill from them seeing the amount of piracy last time.

The main reason to chose PS4 would be the larger online community. This is if you are into online competition or tournaments. Other than that the patches usually come around the same time, give or take on both consoles
