Trinidad & Tobago bowl Carlton Cricket Club out for a mere 129. A sensational fifty from Jamie Kerr and his partnership with Fraser Watts saved face for Carlton CC.
Kerr being demoted from his usual spot in Twenty20s resulted in Carlton's top-order collapsing terribly and him having to do a repair job alongside Watts afterwards.

Even still, the sheer skills of T&T's bowlers were a little too much for Carlton to handle. Ravi Rampaul, Samuel Badree and Sunil Narine ran roughshod all over 'em.
Rampaul claimed 4 wickets whereas Narine and Badree bagged 3 apiece. Despite Narine claiming 3 scalps, he was taken for 15 runs in an over by Kerr and Watts.​

Chennai Super Kings' bowlers seemingly had an off day as their spin-trio appeared to be out of form barring Ravichandran Ashwin and his double-wicket 17th over.

Adams - Hampshire Royals' leading run-scorer in the 2010 Friends Provident t20 translated his form and played a firm knock to bolster his team alongside McKenzie.
McKenzie held the fort alongside Adams, finding the odd boundary every now and then but his main objective was to play support to Adams' belligerent batting.

A 20-run cameo at the end by Afridi was the icing on the cake for the Royals. CSK missed a trick by not including Doug Bollinger, their most prolific pacer in the XI.

Victory for Hampshire Royals! A narrow 6-run win for Hampshire Royals despite Suresh Raina's awe-inspiring knock and Albie Morkel's brilliant 33-ball 46 fightback.
Murali Vijay was dismissed in the first over to jolt CSK's foundation, and though wickets followed after a short revival, it was Raina who brought CSK back on track.

Everything was going swiftly and Chennai Super Kings seemingly had it in the bag with a settled Raina and Morkel at the crease, despite a tough ask ahead of them.
They needed 30 runs from the last 18 deliveries which was achievable, but Shahid Afridi's 18th over changed the course of the entire game (in favour of the Royals).

An unlucky chop-on from Morkel brought the breakthrough Hants were desperate for, and a sharp keeping effort from Pothas capitalized on it the very next ball.
An awful call ran Raina out on the last delivery of the over, in a 5-run 3-wicket over. Once again, Ashwin tried to fight all by his lonesome but it was not enough.

Dimitri Mascarenhas conceded 38 runs in his first 3.0 overs, but he was still trusted with the final over as he was the only pacer to not have completed his quota.
With 14 runs required off the final over, Mascarenhas delivered a concise over to undo all of his past wrongdoings to ensure a 6-run victory for Hampshire Royals.​

Bowling masterclass from Mountaineers has skittled Biratnagar for a mere 127, which is somehow still the highest score for a team of Nepalese origin in CL history.
Shingi Masakadza was the pick of the bowlers with 3 scalps to his name at 5.72. Greg Smith, Prosper Utseya and Donald Tiripano bagged 2 wickets apiece as well.

Shingi was seen celebrating his 3 scalps in a rather interesting fashion. Njabulo Ncube took a wicket in his only over too, and Timycen Maruma went wicketless.
At one point, Biratnagar were reduced to 6 for 23, but Manjeet Shrestha lashed out at Mountaineers' bowlers with a 26-ball 41 to give his team a fighting chance.

Against all odds, Nirjal Chhetri provided ample support for Shrestha's assault which allowed Biratnagar to save face and reach a respectable and competitive score.
Biratnagar's No.10 and No.11 added a few extra runs that gave their score even more of a push. It's still going to take some serious bowling effort to defend this.​

Tino Mawoyo and Steven Nyamuzinga complete a rather comprehensive victory, but for a moment in the middle, Mountaineers' were in a vulnerable position.
Hamilton Masakadza flicked his first delivery for a four, then inside-edged it onto his stumps the very next ball. Timycen Maruma's dismissal followed soon.

All of this transpired in the first over of the chase. Tatenda Taibu was dismissed in the second over, leaving Mountaineers completely overwhelmed at the start.
Mawoyo and Nyamuzinga rescued Mountaineers from a state of wobbliness at 3 for 10 and added a massive 118-run partnership to see their team over the line.

127 runs were never going to be enough for Biratnagar, but three wickets in quick succession gave Mountaineers a frightening scare, and a legitimate obstacle.
Manjeet Shrestha undid all the good he had done with the bat in his 2.0 overs. Mawoyo scored 54 and Nyamuzinga scored 62 - the latter was the Man of the Match.​
