If we are going to do World Cups under lights then it is time to move to roofed stadiums.

Australia will always be a team to beat in a WC and they could beat us all black and blue when they get going but the advantage batting second this tournament has been a joke!

I think we are seeing more and more cricket being played and more and more meaningless cricket being played. The WC itself felt like a task to watch.

Test matches on the other hand seem more and more watchable.

You’re seriously gonna leave out Babar? Only two players have made more runs in a T20 World Cup, and no one has made more fifties in a single tournament.

it was a tough choice between Babar and Warner, but Warner did end up getting man of the tournament which made me lean in his favour... Babar would for sure be the next person in line

Babar should’ve been Man of the Tournament. Kohli got it in 2014 and 2016 despite not winning, because he was the top run getter. Insanely stupid decision.

I would've picked Rizwan as the man of the tournament. But I wouldn't have been upset with Babar either

Kohli Average was 100+ in both (In 2K14, India reached the final, In 2K16, India batting was basically Kohli & Inshallah) See Pic!

Also, Kohli was the top run scorer in 14 but Tamim was the guy in 16!

Now as far as this tournament goes, I can understand why Warner got it & not Babar:

Warner innings against WI made sure our NRR was ahead of South Africa, he played a crucial knock against Pakistan & than against NZ in the knockouts! 14 runs less yeah sure but Warner had more impact on Aussie campaign than anybody (maybe aside Zampa)

In 2016 - Tamim was the highest run getter!

Excluding the qualifiers of course, it’s unfair to include them.
They’re dumb anyway, should be 4 groups of 5.

He made half his runs while batting first, Warner batted first just once, and made 1 run, against England. He had it much easier in a tournament where chasing already gives you an edge due to the dew.

Watson was unreal in 2012, just like Kohli in 2014 & 2016! (They were just on a different level) (2009 forgot about that )

I am not saying Babar wasn't great, he was amazing in this tournament! Both Babar & Warner had a great impact on their teams campaign but you can't give the award to two players so the panel probably went with Warner because of his SF & Final exploits
