Iftikhar Ahmed for Azam Khan is a contentious trade. Argumets to be made for both players. Ifti is in good form, but Azam solves our local keeper problem and is a brutal spin hitter. Fahim has an insane bowling average and SR in the PSL, and we have him and Wasim Jr. for the pace all-rounder's spot, along with Asif, Shadab and Hasan for the lower order. Strategy seems simple, get two overseas batters to form the top four alongside Hales and Stirling. Azam, Asif, Shadab, Faheem, Wasim Jr. and Hasan, provide a deep batting lineup with plenty of bowling options. Add a good pacer and spinner, one of them emerging, and you're set. Bringing Rumman Raees and Akif Javed back should be the priority.
Lahore Qalandars
Why release Fakhar Zaman? Why waste a Silver spot on Ahmed Daniyal? Why retain Sohail Akhtar? Why retain Zeeshan Ashraf as a keeper when Kamran Akmal and Rohail Nazir are in the draft? Is David Wiese worth retaining?
Only God knows what the Qalandars are gonna do. With Shaheen Afridi, Rashid Khan and Haris Rauf in the team, alongside Hafeez, they have a very strong core. But if their management is the same as the last 6 editions, i don't see them doing much this year.
P.S. they’re obviously gonna pick Ben Dunk and Samit Patel again, aren’t they?
Peshawar Zalmi
Finally got rid of Kamran Akmal. Livingstone and Kohler-Cadmore form a fiery top three along with Haider. Pace attack is strong with Wahab and Saqib Mahmood. Malik, Hussain Talat and Sherfane Rutherford in the middle order. Just need a spinner, a pacer and a lower order keeper.
Quetta Gladiators
A busy team in the trade window, Quetta acquired James Vince, Shahid Afridi and Iftikhar Ahmed, losing Azam Khan to ISLU, while retaining their franchise players, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah. That gives them a strong foundation, to be built upon with quality batsmen and a couple good bowlers.
Multan Sultans
Batting looks set, mainly, and Dahani and Tahir are excellent bowlers, but Multan will need to stock up on bowlers and all-rounders.
Karachi Kings
Amir is in poor form. Arshad Iqbal being let go in favour of Ilyas is a surprise. Imad and Amir have never been at their best in the PSL, as has Aamer Yamin. Babar, Sharjeel and Joe Clarke give them a strong top three. The rest needs work.

Maybe the end of Kamran's career! Cadmore will replace him as a keeper in the squad.
