Global Qualifier A starts in eight days.

Group A
Bahrain, Germany, Ireland and UAE

Group B
Canada, Nepal, Oman and Philippines

Two teams from each group qualify for the semi finals and the two finalists qualify for the 2022 World Cup (guessing that means they then play another qualifying round).

Ireland, UAE, Nepal and Oman are playing their own little tournament beforehand starting tomorrow.

Would be a miracle if Germany get in the final.

Unlikely they will but a chance to play against a test nation doesn't happen often. A chance to improve their ranking (if that helps at all).

It's difficult to really with the developing cricket nations, they might turn up and be much better than expected or have a player that has the best game of their life to pull off an upset. Who knows there might be the next Tim David in one of the teams.

They've got a guy who played for Durham until 2019, a guy who has first class centuries in Pakistan and Dieter Klein who was at Leicestershire until the end of last season.

Global Qualifiers

Oman are looking in a strong position to win their first match against Nepal.

Canada's Matthew Spoors (who was on Western Australia's books a while back and Aus under 19s) has 100 on debut. Canada scored 216 for 1 against Philippines.
