NAB Cup Match: Collingwood vs Adelaide @ Telstra Dome (Neil Craig interview)
Reporter: Welcome Neil, now with the team you have bought in, are you confident you can get over the line with a win?
Yeah we're pretty confident with our playing list at the moment that we can go far in this NAB cup competition. Defiently not the start of the season, so we're going to try a few different players in different positions to see how they go, and see if we can conjour something and bring it into the real season.
Reporter: And all the young players you've bought in, to play this match must be good for the clubs future?
We're more then happy to blood the young fella's in this competition. It's just the right time to give them some game time and try out what the whole game is about. And it's good practice for the future as well, so the players like, McKernan, Walker, Rory Sloane and Phil Davis, they all have the opportunity to play AFL football and get a feel for it, so it's going to be good to see them give it a crack
The word out of the Doctors office is that Adelaide's midfielder, Scott Thompson, who joined the Crows ahead of the 2004 season, will miss the remainder of the 2009 season with Ostetitis Pubis. Thompson suffered the injury half way through the third quarter of the NAB Cup match against Collingwood on Friday night.
Thompson will now have to miss the whole season with this injury, and will hope to have a full recovery and get ready for the 2010 season. Thompson is one of the Crows top leaders in the midfield, and now with his departure, it gives the opportunity to the younger guys to play through the midfield, players like, McKay, Vince and Knights.
Adelaide lost their first NAB cup match against Collingwood, and will now have to wait 3 weeks before hitting the track again, in Round 1 of the AFL 2009 premiership season.
The Crows have upgraded Brodie Martin from the rookie list to take over from Scott Thompsons spot on the Crows list, as Thompson has been put on the Long term injury list which will see him out for about the rest of the season.

Bulldogs key player: Of course it's going to be the 2008 Brownlow Medalist in Adam Cooney. The midfielder has had a good pre season under his belt, but with being the 08 Brownlow Medalist, he'll be getting tagged heavily for the rest of his career. He needs to find out a way to break those tags and still be the damanging player he is known to be.
The 24 year old from South Australia, has always been a quality player, a one that the Crows have been after for years, but he is a true blue Dog for the rest of his career.
Adelaide's Key Player: Nathan Bock, 2008 All Australian defender, is a huge part in the Crows back 6. He is the general, and loves to run through the packs with his pace. He sets up a lot of forward thrusts, and he can shift up forward and kick a goal or two if need be.
He is a dangerous match up for any team, as he can play in the air, but is very good down below as well, and if lined up in defence, he'll take the Dogs best forward. If played up forward, will be a good assest for Burton
