In one month and 4 days AFL will be back. The 2005 Wizard Cup, the pre-season comp, will kick off with a match at Melbournes Telstra Dome and in Perth at Subiaco Oval. The games will be between Collingwood and Richmond at Telstra Dome and local rival West Coast and Fremantle at Subiaco. They promise to be tough, hard fought matches between bitter rivals. However it is only the Wizard Cup so many youngsters will be given a run to show their worth for the season proper.

So talk about, or if your from overseas ask about, the AFL in what promises to be another great season in 2005.

We will take back what Port stole from us... and I don't mean Aaron Shattock. ;)

Pfft good luck mate. Brisbanes time has ended. My predictions:

Premiers: Geelong

Runners Up: St. Kilda

Coleman Medallist: Matthew Lloyd

Brownlow Medallist: Hirdy (if he doesn't get injured)

But what surprises me is how many people are writing Essendon off. They must have some issues if they think we're gonna finish 10th.

pfft geelong last season was a fluke
They should just be able to make bottom half of the top8

Essendon no defenders no midfield but a bloody good crybaby forward.
Yep 10th sounds about right.

As if that'll ever happen (the not injured bit, certainly he's good enough)

On a side note, we've got a tipping competition open at SportsPLUS if anyone's interested

You get bitter a lot when you support the Dockers ;)

And yes, I know they'll win the derby this weekend, all our forwards have died (or became injured, no difference really)

nope not angry just cant see anything other than a good back line for geelong which makes it hard to think the will do any better than just scrape into the 8.

haha every 2nd week im normally pretty bitter :crying
stoopid afl making us fly interstate every 2nd week.

I dont think either team wanted to win the preseason derby coz now they gotta go play up in Darwin in 35+ conditions.
